I have been studying for several years to get to this point. Living in Saudi now for two years but studied Arabic longer than that. I’m from Austria actually. I met a Syrian refugee there and got interested in the culture. I was always interested in Arab culture for some reason. I can recommend visiting Saudi if you stop by the airport to fly somewhere else. Then you should visit the al ahsa oasis, it’s beautiful. But I don’t recommend actually coming here just for tourism no. The history of this country is mostly confined to Mecca and Medina. I don’t know whether non-Muslims can even visit Mecca itself or just not the holy mosque. But the big thing there is the mosque so if you can’t enter I would say don’t make the trip.
