I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say most of the gun crimes in Shitcongo are committed by people who aren't spending a lot of time in school.
I would prefer an America were the things you mention - gun safety, maintenance, marksmanship - were a more integrated part of the school curriculum. But the overthrow of the US government in 1913 also began the downward educational slide from teaching kids to be responsible Americans to the Zionist ideal of being nothing but dependent, mindless consumers.
