Going to briefly share my experience of trp I first entered the Manosphere (R/TRP) at 18 (2013). It was a good reminder to keep training hard at the gym and was a good eye-opener for understanding women. Yes, it helped me to lose that virginity that same year and fuck a lot more girls which was the goal of the majority at the time. But as time passed, the ideas of women being lagging indicators of success and focusing on yourself only began gaining more popularity. Having a personal mission, finishing school, learning a hobby/skill, working out hard, eating healthy, working towards a promotion, etc. Those ideas were the core, you'd focus on yourself and girls would come to you.
I started reading it less (got involved in degenerate nightlife) but I remember reading it again around '17-18 (around the time I discovered Jow Forums) and something had changed, Suddenly fucking women was not the pillar, I started to see comments preaching and enjoying the upcoming collapse, warnings about how society can't function with the state of women and a general repulsion towards the current state of affairs. (((they))) were mentioned from time to time as the orchestrator of the decline. Seeing that transformation take place at a parallel moment as something almost identical happened to me and my worldview was quite fascinating, the timeline was changing.

Recently got his book for $1 on kindle. The man can not write to save his life. At one point, the beginning of a chapter is literally a copy and paste of the last two pages of the previous chapter. His section on alphas spends the whole time describing betas. His section on betas spends the whole time describing alphas. At no point does he clearly or even broadly describe what either means in terms of behavior, while touting his expertise in the behaviorist school of psychology.
All of his insights are very basic. My favorite was that you shouldn't just be yourself if yourself is not attractive to the opposite sex and you want to be attractive to the opposite sex. If you need a book to tell you that, you are never going to be pick up artist or even just a guy who asks strange women for their phone numbers and actually gets them. And if you're that dumb, the Rational Male is just not going to help you, because all of its advice is broad and vague. Autists like that need very specific exercises and instructions if they're ever going to improve. If you're like that, my advice to you is to just sign up for every group activity you can find in your area and hope a woman takes a liking to you. If you try PUA stuff you're just going to come off like a creepy sperglord.
