Uber has yet to turn a profit. It reported a net income of -1.8 billion dollars last year. Negative. The company likes to split all of its time and money between 1. R&D for driverless cars in order to fire all of its drivers, completely corner the market and develop a monopoly that is "too big to fail" and 2. trying to prevent public mass transit solutions.
Uber creates no value, contributes nothing to society, and are already lobbying against rational and environmentally friendly alternatives in order to maintain their profits. It's CEO absorbs all of the fake wealth for himself and lives like a feudal lord.
Capitalists see no problem with this whatsoever and even encourage this, vote for this, and would die for this.
How does it possibly lose money? They don't train drivers. They don't pay for vehicles, maintenence, gas etc. All they do is run an app. Wtf?
Jose Peterson
public mass transit for the cattle people private cars for the masters
Jackson Gray
That is for tax purposes user.
Michael Turner
Just because it's not turning a profit now doesn't mean it's a bad strategy. Like you said they are cornering the market and driving out completion. It's a perfectly fine strategy and I've used it myself before.
Jayden Hernandez
impossible, it has to be a collective effort
Nathan Barnes
Things are going to get so much worse, peak stratification is on the horizon. You’re either going to be pulling 300k working in financial services or walking someone’s dog.
i'd guess countless lawsuits from rapes and abductions Also what the fuck, uber is at best a side job you do on your day off, its not a job anyone could expect to make an actual living off of
Justin Jenkins
The world owes you nothing. You are alone. Choose your life. You're on your own.
Colton Morris
sounds like you just don't believe in your own ideology enough to make the first move
Carter Edwards
>retards try making a living off an app and replace trained taxi drivers >retards don't realize if they just did it without the uber they could keep their own money
Let the retards starve.
Owen Mitchell
Wall street is more than happy to subsidize anything that consolidates money and power in the hands of the oligarchy, and disempowers everyone else. Case in point: Amazon..
Ryder Wilson
>uber becomes automated won't even need to kill a soccer mom to get a car to strip for parts
Josiah Bailey
These companies (uber, amazon, walmart, airbnb, etc) serve only one purpose, and that is to destroy all independent income streams. it is becoming impossible to live without working for a megacorp combine plantation. I used to drive a proper cab, split ownership with a friend and we basically were able to work when we wanted. Now that's impossible, and the people riding as passengers are paying the same and more. The difference is that money is going into a jewish blackhole, instead of people's pockets.
Jaxon Murphy
>Using a service that knows exactly who and where you are for your rapes and abductions You deserve to get caught then
except that since its founding less then 10 years ago it has grown to control a 69% (and growing) market share of passenger transport in the US meaning they have effectively put an entire industry (taxi and limousine services) out of business and replaced them with a "side job" i.e. a GIG as in GIG ECONOMY which benefits the super rich and fucks over everyone else, genius.
Justin Jones
>Things are going to get so much worse, peak stratification is on the horizon. You’re either going to be pulling 300k working in financial services or walking someone’s dog.
Why else do you think they're rushing to come up with excuses to disarm regular citizens? The servant class will eventually take out their frustrations on the 1%.
Thomas Davis
>implying people are forced to drive for uber OP you're seriously the embodiment of the retarded left. Uber creates an app and says "hey come drive for this app if you want, you'll get paid this much. If you don't want to, that's cool just delete the app or whatever" >people drive for the app >people expect to do it full time and live off the salary >now it's uber's fault these people can't afford homes in America's most expensive cities.
Asher Mitchell
That's silly, it's meant as a side job for one, and it does plenty for society, namely, reducing drunk drivers/accidents
Matthew Thompson
>Chooses to vote for Commie state Defending the current batch of elites who fund the hollywood propaganda and immigration policys that's killing our high trust society is cuck mentality.
Jaxson Myers
I try to give as little to society as I can in the material way, but then I focus all of my spiritual energy into fighting for the freedom of humanity. Feels good.

once automation becomes a thing it will be easier to highjack trucks, cars, vans, mail delivery, food delivery drones. the future is bright for criminals.
Imagine the canadian dude who comes out with an EMP device to knock out a truck carrying american cheese? he will be king of Canada!
Aren't thier laws for taxis and shit? No way Uber has all those medallions.
Brandon Cooper
A company that doesn't net money can't continue to exist.
Austin Allen
But he won't be able to drive it away..
Gavin Hernandez
mostly commies use Uber. capitalists own automobiles.
Joshua Cox
OP you have to understand it's Rothchilds created app, this shit is going to happen whether or not they make money, the executives at the company are actors chosen for a role. when you own the Fed and can print unlimited money this stuff is going to happen. stop saying it is capitalism.
Elijah Gomez
just detach the trailer and steal that after crippling the auto-truck
Angel Cruz
I gave up on changing people a long time ago. Now I just speak my mind and they can take it or leave it.
Nathaniel Nelson
Unprofitable business models can sometimes ride on massive debt & tax breaks & stock sales & questionable accounting practices long enough to undercut the competition on price, until the competition goes out of business (because the competition can't beat the price and carry that much debt while getting as many tax breaks, without being caught committing fraud) - then the unprofitable business model grabs all the market share and becomes a "too big to fail" monopoly while its executives & shareholders cash in big. A business entity doesn't have to turn a profit in order to make a few people very rich at others' expense (which is often the primary goal).
Kayden Bennett
all he needs is his own truck
Christian Anderson
The amount of red tape and license fees to become a cab driver being so high is the main issue here, de regulate the market and let capitalism do its job.
Charles Bennett
Damnit dont be giving away my plans you nigger.
Adam Perez
not when they are all outfitted with cameras that have facial recognition technology
Jace Richardson
because a mask is something a criminal would never think of
Angel Perez
>creates no value >to protect their profits Nigger can you even read?
Eli Nguyen
you really are not the smartest meme flag
Wyatt Hall
they even have gait technology now user, they measure the way that you walk and move. and before you think of just walking erratically like a retard, they have already thought of that and it doesnt make a difference.
Lincoln Brown
as if half the criminal world is not already planning to highjack trucks and armored cars in this fashion
Brody Lopez
I know, I was just playing.
Carson Rogers
have they also figured out how to stop someone spay painting over the cameras?
Christian Davis
first i said maintain their profits, not protect. second its possible to run an unprofitable company while still lining shareholders pockets you absolute brainlet
Christian Jones
lasers disable the recognition
Hunter Jackson
so you are going to walk over to the vehicle in question (meanwhile systems measuring height weight, gait, probably also race within a reasonable margin of error, etc) with your amazing infallible mask (by they way they can measure facial features like bone structure and do retinal scans) and THEN spray paint it? and then carry out your hijacking which probably wouldnt work because the systems would probably just be disabled by that point and authorities already en route to your location. you cant hide from big brother you fucking idiot, i swear the heat in australia melts everyones brains
James Rogers
who needs yang's 1000$ a month when you can rob 1,000,000 dollars from an armored truck by throwing a robot hooker in front of the truck
>sensor activates, truck stops >rob truck without having to kill anybody
David Clark
>walking erratically like a retard >not having an acute sense of your body and being able to adjust your gait in subtle ways.
Jason Powell
Yes it can. If you drive everyone else out of business you can raise prices and make a killing.
Tyler Adams
Maybe the armored trucks will be robots too.
Evan Russell
lol okay genius
Levi Harris
and therefore have feelings for robot whores
checkmate automation
Camden Sullivan
old system, cab drivers worldwide make living wage working for themselves, new system, monopoly of middlemen pay sub minimum wage to cab drivers & pocket the profits for themselves, this is the trend in all areas of work now, facilitated by available technology & finance
>disable truck >wear a fat suit >ride a push bike up to it >spay paint cameras >steal what you want
big brother is a fucking idiot, you faggot commies are too scared to try solutions
Jason Morales
We steal the loot while the robots are fucking.
James Foster

Robert Robinson
Can I be anti-rich without being a communist? I'd like to see the top 1% elite thrown into furnaces alive, records of them erased and assets seized, but I do not identify as a socialist. I definitely like some elements of capitalism and it's great for people to be able to become rich on their own, but there needs to be some kind of upper limit on this shit. There is a point where you become a disgusting pig and a detriment to society, and you simply must be killed for the greater good.
Benjamin Martin
EMP the fucking truck and bob's your uncle
Mason Peterson
Kek. I'm down, but very far away.
Camden Price
guess what? youre a nazi
Brody Murphy
>Uber prices rise if there's enough demand >literally supply and demand setting prices >drivers will work for the lowest prices regardless >if they didn't the prices would rise not Uber's fault they're desperate cunts. Employers don't like to pay more than they have to anymore than customers do. If you think drivers don't get enough just tip them, it's right there.
Jeremiah Carter
No worries, I have a feeling (now that we are both living in countries with guns) that we will eventually meet somewhere in Guatemala.
I will recognize you from your smug pepe cuff links and the 4 of clubs playing card on your helmet
Blake Ramirez
>not Uber's fault they're desperate cunts the idea of a gig economy is to make everyone a desperate cunt who has no choice but to accept either irregular work and/or wages so low you cant realistically live on them. thats the problem. its a trend, not a one off thing.
Hunter Watson
Uber actually made it easier to do that. It was hard for them to get the ball rolling in any city because you're not gonna have customers if you have no drivers, and you won't have drivers if you have no customers. But now that Uber has gotten things rolling drivers use many apps at the same time and could effortlessly add any new app.
Andrew Harris
Well, best wishes to you my fren until we meet in Guatemala.
Benjamin Ramirez
catch you on the flip side
Brayden Peterson
if you have a better alternative to working for Uber then do that. Clearly people who work for Uber prefer doing that to not doing that, so the desperation is already there. All this is a result of the minimum wage, sort of:
>have minimum wage >now you ether earn the minimum wage or you're unemployed >unemployed prefer to work even for less than the minimum wage >Uber offers that possibility >the unemployed flock to it >they complain that it's not as much as the minumum wage
this too, Uber proves that overregulating taxis is retarded
They're already desperate, Uber is an improvement for them. Remove Uber and the desperation only increases. The desperation exists solely because there's an oversupply of unskilled labour, which is what you get when you open your borders like a socialist retard.
Robert Collins
Fuck Uber, gonna continue driving drunk til I get caught. Only hoes and lightweight faggots lack the ability to drive drunk effectively
Daniel Peterson
>Fuck Uber, gonna continue driving drunk til I get caught. Only hoes and lightweight faggots lack the ability to drive drunk effectively t. Future vehicular homicide felon
Brandon Gutierrez
> companies fuck over workers > companies care only about their fiduciary duty No shit.
It's another Silly Con company that will burn through their cash before imploding. This happens from time to time. The real damage is that with billions of IPO/VC funding they were able to fund a legal campaign to completely obfuscate the definition of a legal full time employee vs independent contractor.
The real damage is that they set precedent to further erode what defines an employee, and thus availability of the few responsibilities companies still have to employees (eg, healthcare, retirement, vacation, etc). All cuz a bunch of faggy millenials who have no work ethic or experience want the freedom of a "gig."
Justin Gomez
Worst part is that most of these companies pay little to nothing in taxes
Luke Collins
Top notch bait thread
Wyatt Taylor
many used to be taxi drivers who worked for themselves. also open borders is not a socialist/communist doctrine, thats a meme propagated by capitalist/right wing groups. in fact capitalism benefits greatly from open borders.
Ryder Ross
They created a service that people want, they are cheaper and more convenient than taxis in my city.
Jonathan Baker
Same chicken shit excuse I use myself.
Asher Sullivan
So what you’re saying is I need to short Uber? Thanks OP!
Angel Hall
taxis are dog shit anyway, fuck taxis
Jose Jackson
>robbing self-driving armored trucks
everyone ITT who thinks that there will be paper money
They want total control. They want to know where every penny is spent and how it is spent. Paper money will have no place in the global panopticon for the same reason that driverless transportation will one day be the only option. They want your every transaction and every movement on file.
Colton Carter
No. People simply have to want to change themselves. All you can do is provide them with data and maybe a word of encouragement.
Oliver Mitchell
Because taxis are shit. Poor service, too slow, too expensive.
Kevin Perry
sinister.
Michael Kelly
No, it’s called being a conservative.
Lincoln Mitchell
12 hour days X $16/hr average pay = $192/day $1,344/week $5,824/month average $69,888/year Yeah, shitty low wage job alright...fuck you.
Benjamin Jenkins
Yeah that’s not unlikely, this can’t be the trend forever without some strife
Aaron Fisher
Millennial faggots fell for this nonsense.
Juan Watson
heh yeah just work 12 hours a day 7 days a week and youll make 70k a year! dont worry about taxes or that you also have to >pay for car >pay for gas >pay for insurance (and deductibles) >pay for maintenance (tires, oil, etc) is this a troll post? fuck off retard
they subsidise the rides otherwise it's the same price as taxis, that and cities suing them for minimum wage etc
whole point of it was you can drive around and make some extra cash and they get cars on the road then idiots did it full time and complain
It's like Youtubers with no even remote backup for their future, even the bigs ones got 0 plan if they fade out of popularity
Mason Cook
Sure, what's that break down to after all related expenses and taxes?
Jonathan Baker
>in a car all day > car payments, gas, insurance would all be still making lots of money
Nicholas Young
Shit works, why so butthurt?
Adrian James
Uber is great, I drove it for 15 months, lived in my parents house, and accumulated a lot of different assets, and I'm more wealthy now than I have ever been
The problem is people don't work hard enough and they don't invest - they get their little white wife and white babies and then they struggle to feed them and house them and buy lots of consumer crap
Xavier Gray
I really wish in the cities that sued for minimum wage or ending contractor status that uber made up rosters they had to follow
Ryan Watson
if you think driving your car 12 hours a day 7 days a week NOT including personal use like to and from home, to supermarkets, etc. amounts to less than 7k a year in gas (alone, nevermind insurance, car payments, registration, licensing fees, maintenance, etc) you are an actual braindead mouth breathing retard
