Fair warning, this game is an incredible concept wrapped in a dirty, stinky asshole. PC performance is terrible, combat is easily top 5 worst in history IMO and there are bugs bugs BUGS EVERYWHERE. Really immersive though and it’s great when you just try to lose yourself in RP’ing as a pathetic peasant. It doesn’t have much to do with modern politics and seems to portray the time as it was documented.

>take some time to spend on hunting, herbalism, and raising dogs

Last but not least, you are not a one man army. If you are outnumbered and you are not confident in your fighting skills: RUN.

I find it difficult, also the loading can be a waste of time so I stopped half way true. Excellent game, very realistic and fun. The characters are awesome.

it has one DLC dedicated to the extremely thrilling lives of medieval women. why the fuck anyone would want to play that vs as a knight/bandit is beyond me.

I found the gameplay to be really fun. 1v1 swordfighting is very fun. It's worth the money. Truly a good RPG.

I found much of the humor to be juvenile, and annoying, though.

After the Ashes is basically "here's something fun to put your gazillian groschen into so money is actually challenging again"
After you get your lockpicking high enough to pick Very Hard locks you can basically get 15,000 groschen in 15 minutes every couple of days just by robbing all the shops and there would be nothing to put that money towards if not for the DLC

I'm retired fren. I own out right 160 acres of wooded land in N Ontario, both of my son's are on title and I have plenty of free time. The fire wood is in the shed and I like playin vidya. We had 8 months of winter last year. I also read every day and go outside a couple hours aday. I think I have done what I can for my family. Now it's my time.

It's a pretty fun game. I've played through several times, never gets old.

As an American I was deeply disturbed when American and Australian voices were heard in this game. Everyone knows it should be English accents only in any historical European setting.

you can cheese almost everything with a horse and/or bow. poison is op as hell. if you don't do that then its a 6.5/10 game.

There were some bugs when it came out, but that's all been fixed. I don't know what "pc performance is terrible" means, but it runs fine.
