Most of what NOAA does is practical weather forecasting work. I know tons of people who work there, some are p based.

A portion of the administrative branch and some of the lower-tier scientists they have on hand are the ones causing much of the global warming hysteria, and they do so because it's a convenient way for them to make a name for themselves on twitter and get grant funding. You also have the obvious corruption via affirmative action hires, which happens at any big institution (although surprisingly less so at NOAA b/c turns out weather is something that mainly appeals to white people)

Jesus Christ you spergs, the NOAA said that data existed which forecasted that Alabama may be impacted by Dorian. The data was outdated by the time of the weather map fiasco, but a series of updates from the NOAA on the storm (#15-#41 if I remember correctly) showed Dorian going for Alabama.

The real question to ask yourselves is, why the marker on the map? That certainly is out of the ordinary, and it is correct that normal hurricane maps are not shaped like that.
