Where did you come up with that twaddle? The American people wanted nothing to do with another bloody war in Europe. That's why FDR maneuvered the Japanese into attacking Pearl Harbor. Even after the Declaration of War, America sent its troops and resources into war against Japan first. Until 1943, America had few troops in the European theater. Most of the US contribution to Europe early on was food, fuel, weapons and aircraft to Britain and the Soviets.
