According to paranormal researcher Fiona Broome, the Mandela effect occurs whenever a vivid personal memory is found to conflict with the historical record. Broome recalls TV reports from around 1980 that Nelson Mandela had died in prison. Naturally, she was surprised to learn of his release and election as president of South Africa in 1994. When she shared this experience with friends at Dragon Con, she learned that others had had similar “false memories”.
it was always "tunes", faggot. i remember thinking it was "toons" because of "cartoons" but then i was paying attention one day and noticed it was spelled "tunes".
Samuel Rodriguez
The one that actually scares me just a little is the girl with braces in Moonraker.
Noah Ross
It's not some alternate reality: it's bad propaganda. It was publicized that Mandela died, prematurely, in order to drum up hostilities against the proper South African government. Because of the term "cartoon," ordinary people started writing it as "Toons." Also, it was always Berenstain Bears but because there are so many -stein kikes in media we would write it as Berenstein because we got confused. I clearly remember at age 6 looking at my Berenstain Bears books and going, "Huh, I guess it's Berenstain. Weird."

Life was like a box of chocolates

The ones that really got me are the: 1) JFK assassination. 4 people in the car, now in this timeline 6. This is the first one that really blew my mind. And there is still residual evidence that it was only 4. So this one is 100% proven to have changed. 2) The scarecrow is now holding a gun in the Wizard of Oz 3) The Lindberg baby. In my timeline it was never found, now apparently the corpse was found only 6 months later, 4) Changing of Bible verses, from Lion and the Lamb to Wolf and the Lamb, etc.
Guys, there is ONE OOOOOONE thing I found that has not been removed from this timeline that apparently only I remember. When you google for this it will make your hair stand up.
There used to be radio commercials in the early 2000s for autoway car imfomercials. The spokesman would then say at the start of the commercial "who you gonna call?!" then the crowd says "AUTOWAY!" I've tried searching for a commercial and I get nothing. The only autoway thing that comes up on youtube a bunch of screamer shit and one random thing for a car which you know it used to exist.
Some car dealers have the word "autoway" on them but the commercial has since been changed to "who you gonna call, monoronie?
I can't be the only one who remembers this shift? But seriously, google autoway commercial and youtube autoway commercial and the whole thing has been memory holed and replaced with a bunch screamer videos. It's a glitch in this system we're living in that they forgot to patch.
Elijah Barnes
Also there is no information on this change in wiki or anywhere on the internet. I can find old car commercials like "zoom kid" so I know my memory isn't playing tricks on me but there seriously was a shift and this was memory holed. Almost as if they thought nobody would remember something so random.
Jace Gray
Is this a mass psyop? And if so, to what end? To make people doubt reality? To discredit people willing to speak out against false media-generated consensus? mileswmathis.com/mandela3.html
Isaac Williams
It's no psyop. There really are things that have been changed. If you think back really far enough and retrieve even the pointless things that most people won't remember then you'll see.
Ian Hernandez
See, the mandela effect is probably 1984 shit, testing deleting the past and finding out who notices, typical shit to see as we spiral the rabbit hole like a fucking drain
Christopher Bailey
im convinced that when we die we dont actually die and just wake up in another parallel universe. This would account for the slight changes. There are many times where i should have died but for some reason i didn't.
if you are concious during this "shift" you seem to be able to remember things from your previous universe. anyone else think this or is it just me?
Justin Clark
'Scary Movie' the stoner character Shory used to say, "I see hite people", now he say th exact same line from the sixth sence. This line always stood out to me bacause as a young shit, it was he first time I was irked by reverse racism. Even though I grew up watching 'In Living Color' those kind of jokes didn't bother me in the slightest.
Nathan Evans
I'm still fucked up about the Shazam thing with Sinbad...
Wyatt Nguyen
You Mandela effect faggots piss me off so much, go die in a car crash you nit wit
Bentley Murphy
*Shorty

Fuck I need spell check.
Leo Long
>too young to notice the changes
Easton Jackson
I never understood that one. I feel like people with that memory never actually saw kazaam. How could you forget shaq?
Julian Collins
At least the original namesake of the effect actually had his death mis-reported by actual official printings. Most other examples make no sense as to their origin.
Kayden Cruz
That is terrifying to consider, but also it confirms the existence of an afterlife, however it is
Michael Harris
>im convinced that when we die we dont actually die and just wake up in another parallel universe
You see the thing is if you reach old age then what? Would there be some kind introduction to age extension medicine no matter what time period you're born in all of a sudden and you just continue to live?
Nathaniel Sullivan
>mandella A/B market testing but for MKULTRA
So you think know all about deep fakes huh? How long do you think that tech has existed? 6? 20? 80yrs? Many talking heads you anons like to make fun of are literally only that. They’re ALL body doubles! The people you see on TV don’t exist!!
the only decent explanation is afterlife, but what kind?
Angel Hughes
Just you. consider the possibility you spend too much time on the internet and not enough time on productive activities.
Asher Ortiz
I find the Mandela Effect to be quite interesting.
Justin Rivera
notice the amount of americans in any Mandela thread..
Jayden Cook
its less an afterlife and a terrifying reality of never ending suffering. The only other explanation is everyone has a set number of "shifts" and than you would actually die You would continue to live well past your age becoming a medical wonder and become studied. eventually you'd reach a point in time where technology and medicine could restore your youthfulness. The problem though is you may be brain dead at this point or in constant pain. The suicide you commit succeeds in this reality/universe but you are shifted to the next where it failed.
Blake Richardson
Yep, i remember the braces as well, and they really arent there.
Gavin Barnes
>dude people remember Mandela died in prison!! AKA people just mix him up with Steven Biko or whatever his name was. simple explanation. stop obsessing over literally nothing you spergs.
This is happening because we opened a pathway to a parallel universe
Noah Sanders
That or CERN is literally altering timelines. Regardless, the only reason we've noticed is thanks to the advent of the internet and global communication. Also, in my timeline, Joaquin Phoenix died.
Jaxon Perez
>Sentience has the capacity to survive multiple timelines >yet is somehow capable of nonexistence This all basically confirms "You think therefore you are", you cannot experience nonexistence
Joshua Martinez
you could say he rose from the ashes
Kayden Robinson
Does he not say I see white people anymore?
Bentley Sullivan
Explain to me how police behind me suddenly disappeared The car coming straight for me isnt there any more. The car regained traction at the last minute on the ice. Vivid memories of extreme pain and dreams of me dying in situations i have been in
Elijah Collins
I watched most Bond videos on VHS including Moonraker, if it was on the internet i could assume they replaced the content, but they cant just overwrite VHS tapes people have laying around.
If it is a conspiracy, then it must be supernatural in nature.
Ryan Long
No, I mean like, he died years ago, drug overdose, had a heart attack, but he was mostly unknown except for a musical he did.
Matthew Brown
Are you from south Florida? Because I know what commercial you are talking about, they were for a dealership chain called Maroone but when I google it it comes up AutoNation now. They used to have Dan Marino in the commercials.
Kayden Morales
Thanks CERN...
Colton Bailey
>Leading psychologists have instead pointed to science - the brain is not perfect and its memories are fallible and can be twisted and distorted by bias, association, imagination or peer pressure. In the case of Dolly in 'Moonraker', it is perhaps the way the sequence is edited that, after Jaws smiles and exposes his metal teeth, Dolly then smiles in the next shot as the music hits its crescendo. You're just a moron
Liam Davis
Wait, what
I've never even seen scary movie and I know 100% he says "I see white people" it was in the fucking trailer
Mason Clark
That could very well possibly be it. Who knows? But things are not normal at all anymore. And people in general can't be bothered to notice.
Brayden Taylor
>JFK conspiracy theory Blew my mind I kek'd
Jack Hernandez
i had the same thought recently or a similar one i thought i had died and gone to a slightly worse stage of hell each time several close calls with death due to alcohol my life always taking a small, but permanent change for the worse afterwards >weed is legal in my state lmao
Adrian Anderson
Occams razor says schizophrenia I've never heard of joaquim before joker honestly, is he a big deal?
Jason Adams
I feel like you and me are from the same timeline. Stein? And Nelson Mandela dead too?
Jackson Green
Yes I'm from south Florida. Why is it that google doesn't have a lick of history for the name change? Maroone is like the 2nd name and now AutoNation is the 3rd. Is there no recording of Dan's commercial out there so I can put this craziness to rest?
Christian White
Nice theory, and psychology is not a science... moron.
Ryder Roberts
I've been in near death experiences as well, you're just over analyzing, seriously that's all this shit is.
Benjamin Jenkins
He wasn't. Because he was dead. But then two years ago he apparently rose from the dead and is a super star.
Yep. But I think I drowned when I was 15 while swimming on Jones Beach and a wave took me under. I tumbled for five minutes and suddenly washed up on shore.
Carter Butler
except that has nothing to do with schizophrenia
Zachary Evans
I just looked it up and he says "I see dead people" That's retarded and not nearly as funny. I vividly remember "I see white people." Fuck.
David Gutierrez
not schizophrenia. im bad at typing and explaing ideas unless i lay them out like i have.
Irl i talk more cohesively. this is just something that been on my mind and i have thought about alot since i was young
Lucas Moore
I know exactly what you are talking about, I found it user. youtu.be/p28XmIJ1AHM
Cameron Howard
hey I'm also a south fl user I'm in ft Lauderdale atm
Ian Morgan
Well, for me, the lead singer of nirvana didnt die and grunge was a big thing until I cracked my head open and suddenly it was replaced with nickleback back in 2004, im pretty sure it wasnt me living under a rock because theres a bunch of songs I've never been able to find again
Well, at least we get to see the joker movie
schizophrenia causes hallucinations, its a simpler explanation than the mandela effect, IE: occams razor
Andrew Carter
Psychology makes more sense than this "people are editing time itself" idea. But by all means indulge in your schizophrenic tendencies.
Jace Gray
this. the thing about most these mandela images is the put it side by side and nobody really remembers the exact lettering so they see it and think holy shit it did switch.
Adrian Kelly
Look at the comments lol, the braces here are faked, many people seem to agree they are too small in comparison as to what they remember, and thats what i thought when i just saw it.
>not schizo >total normie IRL >just not lucid RN Checked
Hudson Bailey
Yes that's the same "who you gonna call, ______" style commercial but in the early 2000s it was Autoway and not maroone. Hey, do you remember anything about it?
Or maybe a near-death experience is all it takes to have your consciousness bail and find another timeline. The only reason you can remember the earlier timeline is because you didn't actually die.
Liam Cook
Yes, I remember the maroone commercials as a kid. it was a ghost busters parody but for cars "if you need a car, truck or van who you gonna call? MAROONE"
Tyler Mitchell
I believe the same. I also think this is why suicide is considered a sin. I look at suicide like a futile attempt to escape the material matrix. Something is keeping us here and escape isn't that simple.
Zachary Reed
I mandella effected that OP wasn't a faggot
Lucas Ross
>call out anomalies >take your meds schizo
What's funny is pointing out objective truths to smooth brains and watching their brains frizzle out due to their paradox logic
>stop saying the earth is round >it's obviously flat >look, the bible says so
Chase Diaz
A commenter on the video has an actual good idea >Did anyone bother to read the original script or ask any of the people involved in the film? Of course there are no replies because the mandela effect bs is basically just a bunch of boomers with dementia being nostalgic.
Grayson Wilson
Didnt say normie. Im introverted and quite. only meds im on are adderall xr. no hallucinations that i know of. Also as for lucidity my dislexia makes it difficult to try and put the thoughts in my head onto paper without it sounding like im crazy. It made english papers a pain for my mom to read over drafts How could so many people who experience the mandella effect have schizophrenia
Anthony White
>Ed McMahon >Publishers Clearing House >giant checks
This is the one that mind fucks me the most. This is the company he worked for and there is residue in a few random clips from back then. I distinctly recall getting the mailings and watching the commercials.
Logic and sense do not equate to truth or reality, in fact you base all your assumptions on what little information you know about the world you live in. But this has nothing to do with sense in the first place, it only makes sense because you project a pre-determined understanding onto your environment. You cant see reality dummy, you entire mind is merely a subjective interpreter.
But by all means take everything in life on face value... most idiots do.
Jonathan Peterson
It was always Maroone bro, like he said it was ghostbusters themed, I don’t ever remember it being autoway.
Benjamin Scott
She had braces... she had braces... she had them in more then one scene. Its why jaws liked her.
Brandon Wilson
I have the same body, same people around me, how asinine would it be that small details in pop culture are the things that change. The entire idea is laughable which is why I hate mandela threads so much.
Brandon Nguyen
Don’t worry sweetie, in 5 years you’ll be old enough to drink.
Chase Jones
Because we live in a world where we pump our bodies full of fucked bullshit, drugs in the water, etc
Im not saying its schizophrenia, im saying that schizophrenia is a more logical explanation for this, I personally think the earlier user was right with the death and stuff
Stitch your testicles back on and maybe you'll be happy again
Asher Martin
>When Jews go rewriting history
John Peterson
Well the way I remember it distinctively said Autoway. For reference I was 7 - 11 or 12 in the Tampa area and the rest of my life up until now (excluding the random short moves to Texas) has been spent in south Florida. I don't know if maybe that plays a part in the change of name? But if that's the case you can't find 0 source of it online. Also wouldn't make sense for 2 different commercial spam within the same state.
Benjamin Harris
Because most timelines only have minor shifts. There are nigh-infinite near-identical timelines. It only makes sense that minor details change.
>She had braces... she had braces... she had them in more then one scene. Its why jaws liked her. 100% agree user. I saw that movie once like 20 years ago, and that scene was what stuck with me. The psychopath found another person like him.
You are not old enough to access the internet without permission from mommy. Here's the irony, before the internet people relied on memory for most things, you dumb fucking kids dont remember shit because you save everything on your stupid ass phones. If you want to go by the science, boomers have better memories then your average pimplepopper.
Robert Murphy
the pinnacle of mandela effect for me is where the kidneys are located in a body.
no two universes are the same it woulkd make sense that there are small differences
2 and i dont plan to drink, smoke, or do drugs, or participate in hookups Fair belief also which user this one
Daniel Flores
Wait they didn't use giant checks or something?
Charles Brown
River Phoenix died from a heroin overdose.
Ethan Jones
For me the Fruit of the Loom logo is the one that always gets me. There's no cornucopia in the logo, never has been. But everyone remembers it with a cornucopia spilling out fruit.
Xavier Powell
It wasn't though. I remember well that one day I was anticipating the announcer saying "autoway" and before the words left my lips they said MAROONE and I was like "whaaaaaaa??? they changed it???". I don't remember what year that was but that experience was very vivid till this day.
Oliver Roberts
In my timeline the West and East coasts of South America more or less line up with each other in this time South Africa takes a sharp hook to the east
Michael Long
>reverse racism >reverse Fuck you and fuck your mother.
Gabriel Torres
Wait, what?
David Robinson
True, she had them the entire movie, but this scene specifically was considered iconic and stood out above the rest of the film.
Jonathan Cook
East and west Coast line of north america and south america lined up. Now they don't
Brody Jenkins
>Joaquin Phoenix died. Then who played Joker?
Brayden Morgan
I am also from South Florida and in the 1990s I believe with every fiber of my being it was Maroone, and always was Maroone. Now I went in the Marines in 2002 and was gone from FL 95% of the time ever since so if by early 2000s you guys are meaning >2003 then I am not qualified to give my opinion because I wasn't there. I remember the Maroone commercial on 95.5 before they turned into a country station in the 90s.
