As a conscientious conservative I am becoming increasingly concerned with President Trump's behavior. We cannot deny at this point that he has some kind of serious mental problems that are impacting his performance as commander in cheif. He is clearly being compromised by his own decaying mind, ego, and an alarming willingness to indulge his desire to create false controversies and to create and perpetuate the narrative that he believes would make him seem strong in the eyes of many voters..
One of the most glaring examples was when he invoked the name of President Ronald Reagan and claimed that Reagan said an entirely fictional quote praising Trump. This is textbook narcissism.. The fact that he thinks such a lie would hold up in the age of the world wide web proves beyond doubt that he is losing touch with reality.
The fact is he is harming himself, embarrassing the office of President, and making America look like a joke on the world stage. As a lifelong member of the Republican Party I have often seen the party stoop to new lows but Trump is quite literally trashing the very name of the 'Grand Old Party' at this point.
I am a man of very strong morals. I do not blame the President, but I think we must do what is right, save America and save Trump from himself by getting a strong Republican to primary him in 2020. Maybe Ted Cruz would have been a better option after all in retrospect...
If not, the Republican Party will never win an election in this country again.
