Why don’t Bohemia and Moravia go their separate ways?

They have distinct people with their own culture and history. Also, the names are pretty badass.

>distinct people with their own culture and history
How? They've been subject to Bohemia since the 12th century

Not really.

The medieval and early modern Margraviate of Moravia was a crown land of the Lands of the Bohemian Crown (from 1348 to 1918), an imperial state of the Holy Roman Empire (1004 to 1806), later a crown land of the Austrian Empire (1804 to 1867) and briefly also one of 17 former crown lands of the Cisleithanian part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire from 1867 to 1918.

Since you're either very educated on the topic or quoting wikipedia, when did Moravian become a dialect of Czech? Linguistics seems to be the method of cultural fusion more than anything else. And being a march of another country doesn't really make it super unique, hell Brandenburg was a margravite of the hre and became the center of the first german state

Theres not much reason to go seperate ways. We have been doing fine for quite a while. Plus with the reduced size of both territories, we would most likely just get invaded very easily very quickly.

I am not saying those people aren’t related. But just like Viennese are related to Tyroleans. They still are distinct people with a distinct culture and history.

Bohemia is rich and touristy and service orientated, Moravia is rural, poor and industrialized.

Splitting makes a shitton of sense.

No offense bro but the combined might of the Czechs and Moravians is not much of a deterrent as it stands

It's same question as why wouldn't Sudetenland separate. There is no need for such action and being united with Czechs is better than to be united with g*rmans in 2019. Moravia wouldn't do better with autonomy, see my flag and state of this country. We separated and now we drink own cum instead of milk.

better question is why should we do it? there is no tension betwen us the culture is the same
what about you german bros? should East Germany go in separate way?

>Sudetenland
The Sudeten have been expelled and were not allowed to return. It’s not a similar situation.

Yes, the Eastern states and the Southern states should go their separate ways. Having Lower Saxony and Bavaria and Hesse in the same country is retarded as fuck. It might make sense to bind together some Northern states or annex the Saarland, but that is it. Within the EU, a split Germany would be better for all citizens in these states.

Idk.

I would be in favour of Poland annexing Moravia and Slovakia (without filthy Bratislava), as the biggest and most civilized west slavic country.

>annexing Slovakia (without filthy Bratislava), as the biggest and most civilized west slavic country
Can you please hurry up?

Its a meme. There is zero reason to base a 20th century nation state on medieval borders as was the case with Czechoslovakia. Hungary had existed as it did for nearly 1000 years but that didn't stop it from being dismantled into its constituent nationalities by Trianon. Bohemia and Moravia should have been dismantled entirely and and been split along ethnic borders. The German speaking regions should have been united with Germany in addition to the rest of German Austria. Bohemia was 40% German and the "Czechoslovak" state overall nearly a third German and a tenth Hungarian along with a smaller minority comprised of Ruthenians. Germans made up double the number of Slovaks and were treated like shit by the Czech regime which confiscated German and even Hungarian property and business and attempted to force the Czech language on them. It was a meme country that 100% deserved to be partitioned by Germany.

Why so much porn?

Serious question. How distinct of a people are the Czech compared to Germans? I know Germans didn't always consider themselves to be of the same people. Since they were always a key part of the HRE I guess I always assumed they were pretty Germanized, but with their own language.

There is no porn in Moravia. The only porn comes from Prague due to a specific group of a few porn people who exploit young Bohemian girls.

>young Bohemian girls
From big part those whores are Ukrainian or Russian. A lot of Czech whores in porn are literal whores from streets too. So it's not like your regular czech girl is likely to be porn actress but you never know.

Why should they? We are already small country.

>from Prague due to a specific group of a few porn people
go oooon

Why break up this country even more? We already betrayed masaryk in 1993.

What's the point its all going to be come afrorabia anyway.

They are the same kind of dirty Slavs.

Wasn't separating from Slovakia enough?

Based and unification-minded.
Is it true that Czech and Slovak dialects are not that different and you can easily understand each other?

Czech Silesia should be annexed by Poland

Attached: Śląsk.png (1932x1755, 322K)

Yes, our languages are similiar but I don’t think we would understand each other that easily without being in contact with each other’s languages. Here in Slovakia, a lot of movies are dubbed in Czech because we’re retarded and can’t even dub movies so we pretty much hear czech language every day. Also our YouTube communities are connected so much they’re seen as one Czechoslovak youtube community. But Czech kids on the other hand don’t hear as much slovak language, if any. So a lot of kids actually don’t quite understand what are we saying and a year ago I was in a moravian village for some reason and I asked some kids for direction. They didn’t understand me at all it seemed, so I repeated the same question again, still nothing so I asked in czech and they were like “oh just go that way”.

TL;DR Slovak kids understand Czech better than Czech kids understand Slovak

>so I asked in czech
So there's a literal difference? Is it like danish-swedish perhaps?

No. No. You will not get any soil. Not from Germany, Russia or us.

Slovacks have diferent words. Some are very similar so your brain make that connection. It is like funny version of our language for us.

They are very similiar. The average czech will understand the slovak language very easily. Most words are different, but alot of those words are still similiar to the czech words.

example:

English: All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

It is good that at least one of you can talk the other's language. In Scandinavia we are given token lessons on other nordic languages, but in practice everyone is fluid in english, so when communicating it's easier to simply talk in english rather than try in your native tongues and sort out misunderstandings.

Polish: Wszyscy ludzie się rodzą swobodni i sobie równi w dostojności i prawach. Są obdarzeni rozumem i sumieniem i mają siebie traktować w duchu braterstwa.

tfw great grandparents were bohemian germans, place now called Nový Oldřichov

Pls

This is literally retarded. There is less cultural distinction between Moravia and Bohemia than there is Styria and Tirol. Shall we break up ALL former-HRE states into their original HRE sizes? Shall Kärnten be indepedendent again?

They're all going to be merged into the EU superstate so what's the point.

Its the same lmao, unity when?

that only applies to danes though. In comfy pic related we aren't retards who needs to turn to English

>Swedeapoligist
Consider suicide.

Why do you retards always turn to English when I speak to you?

Austria should have southern Germany, and Northern Germany should have back the rightful Prussian and Silesian clay. Two Germanies would be a good balance. Either that or just unify as one state.

Because the alternative is getting a "I don't understand, you sound like you have a potato in your mouth. Can you try in english?"

You're helping the globalist jew, Torben

Slovakia has a similar issue.

The EU superstate is like Washington D.C., a federal entity which just does military, foreign policy and trade stuff.

The individual states and regions and cities, districts do all the things which really concern people like game hunting, open carry laws, porn bans, borthels, nude beaches and age of consent.

>The EU superstate is like Washington D.C., a federal entity which just does military, foreign policy and trade stuff
This is already not the case and hasn't been for years.

No, we weren't all expelled.... (I am still a descendant of the Sudetenlands, and not speak Czech).

How so?

There's, for example, a minor scandal in my country where the government said that they'd try to resist a maternity leave reform that the EU is enforcing these days, because the one we have is more generous. Now they've flipped and are bowing to their EU masters. The only reason it's only a minor scandal is because everyone knew this would happen. There's a similar case about eligibility for unemployment benefits. EU is pushing for a system that makes you eligible for such benefits the moment you move to another EU country, as long as you were eligible in the country you came from. Under current rules, in Denmark, you must have been gainfully employed for at least three months in Denmark in order to be eligible.
And that's just a few examples. Lots and lots of workers'/citizens' rights (social issues) and market regulations (beyond just trade) are already within the scope of what Brussels dictates.

shh don't give Moravia ideas

About as likely and justified as Germany being split into the old Holy Roman States.
