Why is everything so expensive in CA?
it's a containment state.
Lol Americans have to pay to move their belongings.
Communism ain't free.
Price inflation.
They realize there is a huge exodus from california, so they are going to capitalize on it.
cost of living is high
it's like asking why shit is so expensive in geneva
taxes are high, food is expensive, rent is expensive, homes are expensive, wages are also much higher, but most of that gets pissed away on the expenditures
It’s expensive because what you’re really paying for is vehicle relocation. SF wants you to move vehicles to it and Arizona wants you to get them the fuck out.
I took a uhaul from NYC to Arizona, but I stole it and only paid for gas
They make it impossible to build anything and this drives up prices for everything.
>They make it impossible to build anything
Yeah California is a urban sprawl hellscape because its impossible to build.
they dont want people to leave. its like NJ - New Jersey actually charges people leaving the state like 20% of their lifetime holdings/retirement/etc. or some shit like that.
Because the demand out of California is sky high while nobody in their right mind ever wants to return.
It's simple economics. I recommend paying the price, it'll be a pittance even in the short term.
Because they can get away with it.
Taxes, that are used to support Democratic social programs that do not work.
If I owned that business and could get you to pay me for the opportunity to fuel and drive a van yourself to location where I could rent it back out for over 2k, that would induce in me the most rigid and capitalistic of erections.
kikes userping american genetics and storing your genetics off shore due to globalism(kikes in other countries)
>Why is everything so expensive in CA?
supply and demand, nigguh
Came here to post this. That is 800 mils you are taking that truck for them, while paying for gas. To pay a driver and put gas in the truck, you are looking at $1200ish dollars.
Because no one goes the other way so you are actually helping the company out by returning it's vehicles, most do not go to CA they only leave it these days.
Because it has a combination of the richest Americans and tons of immigrants. Rich Americans don't care that much about inflated costs because its still no trouble to pay them, and hordes of broke and previously destitute immigrants don't care that much either because just getting minimum wage in the US is that big of a step up for them. They still access far more luxuries even in a broken market from a US perspective than they used too. Who gives a shit about the relative expensiveness of something that you couldn't expect before?
all of these
Some people actually believe California is the best state.
It is, the problem is the people who live there and their fraud government.
It's a testing state to see how fucked up you can make things before civil unrest sets in.
I think the test is over, which is why they no longer care. Turns out Americans are pussies who deserve to be abused.
When I visited Montana, I rented a car in Wyoming instead of getting one in Billings and I saved a lot
CA is over a Trillion in Debt (w pensions) and CA puts Taxes and Fees on everything they can. (Note; Fees are Taxable).
.
12 pack Orange or Grape soda $3-4, plus Sales Tax approx 10% = .30-.40 plus CRV "Fee" .05 cents per can x 12 = .60 plus Sales Tax .06 = Grand Total for $3.00- $4.00 12 pack of Grape or Orange Soda is $3.96 and $5.06 respectively, which is a 33% to 25% Taxation Rate give or take a penny.
.
For the Libtards that will say but muh CRV you can get the money back, BS, put in your recycle can that you pay for, and WM (a billion dollar private company no one can buy stock in) does what WM chooses with the recyclables, thus CRV goes into a CA slush fund, drive CRV to certified private recycle center, burning gasoline and your time to separate, crush, and use a container to put sticky empties into for transport and get weight refund, varies, but about .015 cents per can.
.
Billion of Dollars into a Slush Fund for elected officials to give themselves bonuses and raises.
Los Angeles costs about half as much.
The other states don't have a method of directly taxing California or New York despite their disproportionately large share of national income.
This leads to money recirculating inside those states, thereby increasing the money supply.
More immigrants = more crime = police departments require higher budgets and salaries = higher municipal taxes = higher costs for business
I once packed the entire contents of an apartment into a toyota minivan. You just have to know how to creatively pack things into the smallest space.
