You can't pick a better place in the world strategically for world domination than America. Access to two oceans, vast natural resources, large but sustainable population, great wealth which isn't going anywhere any time soon. We are a financialized/services economy, currently the West especially the US is being propped up by deficit spending and Central bank intervention, I.E. artificially low interest rates, QE, and the coming official USD devaluation. As a nation capable of technically projecting national levels of force to the other side of the world we will continue to be a super power for a good while in all likelihood. However, as a functional (would it realistically work) we are probably looking at under two decades of functional capability.

Keep in mind that 'superpower' does not mean being able to defeat any country anyplace in the world at any time. Like before the US is no longer a super power we will be unable to defeat several nations in regional conflicts. For example, it is very possible that before the next decade is out that China will be able to defeat the US in a conventional conflict in its region.
