In Canada they check with the Canadian version of the IRS before you are allowed to vote. You register to vote, the check to see if you have ever filed taxes with the CRA and if you have and are allowed to vote, your name goes on a register at your designated voting place. No ID required, no immigrants or rapefugees voting.

They’ve been claiming this will happen for decades. Texas needs a clause in the constitution that mandates at minimum two years of residency before being able to vote in state elections. Californians won’t be here forever. Once the economy slows they’ll move on to greener pastures as they’ve always done.

Voter ID is a catch22 type of a situation because it requires a federalization of voting so I have mixed feelings.
It seems though that we will lose if that won't get implemented.
Another thing is : no work authorization permits for illegals. Not even 1.
Right now they give them out almost automatically. It was supposed to change but it did not.
What it causes is that illegals have valid SSN regardless of their immigration status.
The voter rolls rely on SSN's almost exclusively and then count on the people being honest about their status.
That needs to end but it doesn't look like.
If by any chance the Republicans gain the majority in the House we should all organize and push them to enact a change in this stupid law. It's a simple solution that would cut at least some of the illegal voting. Probably not enough to save us from a revolt but maybe?
