Germany

Was Germany ever really a superpower? Why did such a great country never become important like how the US, Russia and England used to be?

So unimportant that England and France, who had a bitter rivalry going back hundreds of years of conflict, join forces to destroy you, and then do it again 30 years later

we decalred war on the whole world and almost won..

Meine Seiten in der Umlaufbahn.

The thing Germans had going for them is that they were the worlds greatest (Still existing) Warriors and they played that advantage well but it was all they had so once it got countered they were out of the picture

>and almost won..
>unternehmen barbarossa=failed
>fall blau=failed
>zitadelle=failed
>wacht am rhein=failed
>bodenplatte=failed
so on and so forth

It was very short lived, Germany basically appeared on the scene in the late 1800s and then because largely irrelevant after ww2. Germans were peasants while France, UK, Russia, Spain, and even fucking Portugal were colonizing the world.

Very good summary of German history, basically all their prospects fail in the end. In this context it sort of strange that Germans consider themselves "masterace" when other European nations achieved so much more and didn't fail at every turn.

The united German states are, yes. The first time its power hit the J-curve the first world war happened, then the second time it was world war 2. Germany smartly co-opted the EU and now rules Europe through it. The addition of weak states in the EU allows the Euro to trade at a depressed price compared to the price at which German-only currency would trade. This powers the German economy to its current heights and will continue to do so. He who has the money sets the rules.

History bears out the fact that the united German states cannot ever truly be defeated.

>Was Germany ever really a superpower?
they were in a very brief window of time in the inter war period and the first 2 years of ww2, mostly because they were the aggressors and they took the initiative in the rearmament in the interwar years

based

>we decalred war on the whole world and almost won..
Literally ISIS

Stupid nigger tier history. Of course coming from a Swede.

yep, the only reason germany had high successes early on the western front was because their entire strategy and their operational goals was invade and shock an enemy when they are politically and militiraly instable and exploit that for a quick surrender,
worked in the low countries and france but they tried the same tactic in the soviet union and failed miserably because one simple fact,
the soviet union refused to surrender

>being this retarded
Nigger

it hurts because it is true, operation barbarossa failed because it depended on the soviets surrendering
“We have only to kick in the door,” Hitler said, “and the whole rotten structure will come crashing down.”
it didnt

The EU is a massive failure, not only does it not accomplish it's initial goal of keeping Europe economically relevant they sacrifice their demographics for this failure. Currently the German economy is 5th in the world but by 2050 it's predicted to be 9th. To add this prediction was done in 2015 prior to Brexit. Most likely Germany will take an even bigger hit.

It's basically downhill for all European countries from this point on.

I don't think you would count the Holy Roman Empire or fucking Austrian "empire" (which was half way absorbed by the Ottoman at one point) as relevant in any way.

I believe it
Shut the fuck up it’s a valid question
But besides former military power and cool cars that suck to work on you are kind of irrelevant.

the significance difference being that everytime we wanted
>into industrialization
>into colonies
>into fascism
>into grand conquest
We developed the societal and technological basis within decades. Fast, effective and alternative solutions had you struggle against diving ships, MG fire coming through a propeller without hitting the blades, trench warfare breathing problems, borderline indestructible tanks, jet and rocket powered aircraft, and ballistic missiles and ultimately they hauled your ass on the moon before ivan. Also nice B2-Spirit. We built a suspiciously similar aircraft 75 years ago.

>borderline indestructible tanks
yikes
>jet and rocket powered aircraft
the british did so first
>hauled your ass on the moon before ivan
von braun contributed with thrust vectoring know how
> Also nice B2-Spirit. We built a suspiciously similar aircraft 75 years ago
double yikes

They expected to be at the Urals by August 1941, that was the main goal of Operation Barbarossa but the Russians just kept coming. It became evident the war was lost the second the Soviets launched a small but effective counter offensive near Moscow which brought the entire German Army group center to a standstill. They thought they should revert South and take Stalingrad for a last ditch effort of encirclement but that turned out horribly wrong. From that point on they fought in hopes of negotiating a favorable surrender or armistice but none of the allies were willing to negotiate after all the suffering they went through.

This is what I’m talking about. There are countless people of German heritage in the USA, moreso than English. But it still wasn’t their accomplishment, they were bandwagoners.
The real German master race are in Pennsylvania riding buggies and not engaging with jewish society.

Germany was going to create a nuke

the jew.

Average tiger life time in battle 1500 hours compared to 19 of a t-34.
>the british did so first
HE-176, HE-178.
Von Brauns rocket was the first man-made object to enter space. Saturn V is based on his initial design of the program.
Horten indeed built the first monoplane.
That's gonna be a whopper yikes from me regarding your shitty country and borderline disgusting food and embarassing history.

You're retarded dude.

cope

germanies nuclear program was tiny
look atomkeller haigerloch
compare that to the manhattan project

God i hate the french. Its a great shame that we ever sided with them.

They had some colonies in Africa and islands in the Pacific. Hardly a superpower.

No, and this fact drove Wilhelm II to start WW1. We'd be a happy white nation if he had stopped fucking things up a bit earlier.
