Yeah, this is a good place for it. It’s one of the few places we have for it. Society feels like it’s in free fall and we’re not allowed to call out the bullshit. More and more people are starting to feel that things are fucked, even if they can’t explain how or why.
I come here pretty regularly for news and to vent. Fortunately, I do have a few family members I can talk to about this stuff and a couple friends, but I’ve lost many over the last several years. I’ve never been the type to just go along with the crowd, and I think that’s pretty common here.
It’s bizarre to consider this is one of the last bastions of sanity on the internet, but here we are. Just try not to sperg out to heavy on social media or in public. You can push things, but you don’t want to alienate too many people too quickly.

Shit like this come and goes. It's basic human behavior, the vast majority of people just go with the flow so as to not be ostracised by their social groups. The amount of people actually giving a fuck about things like this are a very loud minority who use social media to project the illusion of power. That corporations actually fall for this shit is beyond me but I guess that's what happens when you care more about profits than anything else. Comedy, video games, movies and books, all these have had their sense of artistry stripped out, none of them are made to push an artistic vision or to make us think in new inventive ways, but rather for broad mass appeal. The problem is that something that caters to everyone has a tendence to cater to no one.
This naturally leads to the proponents of these ideas to become and bolder as time goes on, and at some point we're gonna hit critical mass where it will be impossible not to offend anyone so everyone will just say fuck it and go back to how it was. And the cycle starts all over again. Yeah humans are retarded like that but what can you do.

I think it’s because the window of acceptable opinions and narratives is still shrinking. As more of the super basic shit that was totally OK just a couple years ago is pushed as “evil”, “bigoted” or “intolerant”, more people feel the temperature rising and start pushing back as they are told they can no longer enjoy the things they enjoy.

And Dave Chappelle is a prime example of that. Just how many of his skits would even be possible today? The racial draft skit is one in particular that I think would be seen as unacceptable.
