I think Japanese is one of those languages you really need to apply yourself to on university level and I don't really have a purpose for that investment. The novelty for hobby is in little bits and pieces.

Japanese is a very difficult and confusing language. Don't learn it. But Japan is the best nation in Asia and is setting a great example for nationalism.
