Fucks sake..

ITS THE ONLY OPTION user. DRINK UP.

there are literally trillions of gallons of water in the Pacific

I'm not too worried about it

>AMERIFRUCTOSE EDUMACASHION

I just dont fucking care. Nuke the fucking north pole.

The Jap retards have been dumping their shit in the pacific from the get go and will be doing so for decades.
The Pacific will become a dead zone thanks to the nip tards

trillions and trillions and trillions of gallons

it's gonna be okay

INDEED, BUT THEY AT LEAST WERE TRYING TO BE STEALTH ABOUT IT. NOW THEY ARE JUST OPENING THE FLOODGATES FULL BLAST.

>BIG WATER PLACE BE BIG
>RADIOACTIVE STUFF STUFF BE LESS BIG THAN BIG BIG WATER PLACE
>STOP THINK
>GRUG OUT

Come on there's only a little bit of shit in your milk drink it down white man.

fucking criminal
the greatest ecological disaster in human history and nobody gives a flying fuck.
They should throw the swedish potato child in the reactor to appease the gods

INDEED, THEY REFUSE TO FUCKING DIG AND STORE IT IN VAULTS UNDERGROUND BECAUSE IT WOULD BE EXPENSIVE.

NOW THEY DUMP.
NOW THEY POUR.

DRINK UP.

Fun fact: If they really are going to do that, then estimately about 0.0000000000003067% of water in the oceans will be contaminated. Moreover, due to water circulation some of it will appear in form of rains, reducing that even further. Also, tritium, unlike uranium, does not generate radioactive gases.

Nevermind I'm dumb. I've mistaken tritium for thorium.

>titrium
>h3
>decays into hydrogen and helium
>halflife of 12 years
And its fucking nothing

HOLY FUCK YOU ARE RETARDED AND KNOW NOTHING ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

THE FOOD CHAIN/WATER TABLE/OCEAN BASINS ARE NOT A SIMPLE MATH PROBLEM THAT CAN GIVE YOU AN ESTIMATED PERCENT OF DAMAGE TO LIFE FOR THE REST OF EXISTENCE.

>THIS RADIOACTIVE THINGY THINGY BE HAVE DIFF DIFF NAME THAN OTHER BADBOY RADIOACTIVE THINGIES THING
>ME PLEASE WANT IT IN MY DRINKY CUP NOW
>NOW!

>They should throw the swedish potato child in the reactor to appease the gods
kek

I know that it simply won't be that easy (because they're most probably dump it in one place), but man, over several months that'll spread so far, reducing its concentration even further.

Also, if you have any arguments against my estimation, I'd recommend to write it down so we can confirm it instead of throwing crap at eachother.

>but the technology does not exist to rid the water of tritium, a radioactive isotope of hydrogen.

>tritium

yawn... half life of 12 years.

fucking disgusting
protecting a corporation which knowingly built a plant below the safe zone

i have a BETTER IDEA

LETS NOT WASTE TIME ARGUING WHETHER OR NOT IT IS A GOOD FUCKING IDEA TO DUMP FUCKING:

NUCLEAR
POWER PLANT
WASTE

INTO THE FUCKING -OCEAN-

>yawn... half life of 12 years.

and it's only fucking beta decay.

>me want IT NOW
>me WANT MY DRINKY CUP NOW
>ME WANT MY DRINKY CUP FULL OF RADIOACTIVE POISON MOM
>GIVE ME MY CUP !!!!

And we are supposed to tell them to do what, everybody is dumping shit everywhere
We could've went into war over with the Phillipines but Trudeau is a pussy kek

you realize they have to dump radioactive water in the pacific for the next thousand years or more?

>we

there is absolutely NOTHING we can do.
THEY ARE DUMPING THIS FILTHY SHIT AS WE SPEAK.

Why not just... leave it alone?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! WE'RE FUCKED!
>Nine nuclear submarines have sunk, either by accident or scuttling. The Soviet Navy has lost five (one of which sank twice), the Russian Navy two, and the United States Navy (USN) two.

>Three were lost with all hands - the two from the United States Navy (129 and 99 lives lost) and one from the Russian Navy (118 lives lost), and these are also the three largest losses of life in a submarine. All sank as a result of accident except for K-27, which was scuttled in the Kara Sea when proper decommissioning was considered too expensive. The Soviet submarine K-129 carried nuclear ballistic missiles when it was lost with all hands, but as it was a diesel-electric submarine, it is not included in the list.

>The two USN submarines belonged to Submarine Force Atlantic, in the U.S. Atlantic Fleet. All five of the Soviet/Russian nuclear submarines that remain sunken belonged to the Northern Fleet, while the refloated K-429 was in the Pacific Fleet.

If they do the right thing, TEPCO goes tits up...they won't force them to clean up their act...of course not...TEPCO is a mega corp.
Now go take a piss in the city water supply where you live, they will throw you in jail.

TEPCO should be held accountable and pay for the fucking proper storage of their waste water.

This is Jow Forums, most users have the attention span of a gnat.

>the greatest ecological disaster in human history

What you’re doing to the Amazon seems pretty up there

>there are people in this thread who don't already drink bottled water exclusively
oh jeez, yikes

>natural forest fires which happen every year
vs
>dumping nuclear waste water for eternity in the pacific

you really should bring your BBQ in your home and rid this world of a retard

If we can't do anything then we are fucked mate and it's pointless to worry furthermore
>Digits get radioactive superpowers from Japanese bathwater

have sex

>THEY REFUSE TO FUCKING DIG AND STORE IT IN VAULTS UNDERGROUND BECAUSE IT WOULD BE EXPENSIVE
That would be impossible. The stupid slant eyed gooks built their god damned reactor right over a natural water source that flows into the ocean there's millions of new gallons a day would be literally impossible to store it all. Supposedly the lying midget insects were going to make based robots to seal off the melt down area or the core was supposed to melt its way into the Earth and not be a problem anymore but that doesnt' seem to havbe happen ed

what the literal flying fuck is wrong with you?

Nigger are you being paid to post that?

Seems like we need a second Hiroshima and Nagasaki but this time it will be Tokyo and Kyoto

>0.0000000000003067%
literally sub sub 3 parts per million

it's gonna be ok

realistically plastic is a bigger problem in the eco system

it's gonna be fine

It's really not so bad goys, it's like pre-emotive Chemo and will reduce cancer.

1. Stop obsessing over an anonymous political asperger internet forum.

2. It's not what your probably think of when people say "radioactive waste". You've probably seen these large building dedicated solely to storing nuclear waste, but it's the actual nuclear fuel thet didn't yet reach a point when it's not radioactive anymore. Tritium is solely a byproduct of the very initial stage of it, a LOT less radioactive than normal nuclear waste.

3. I understand that it shouldn't be underestimated, since it's still radioactive particles in common water sources, but there's no easy way to just "bury" it. If you take a look at the area where the power plant was, you can see that it's next to a river. Do you understand how hard it'd be to construct a separate system able to safely transport that water to trucks (or any way of long-distance transport) and regularily transport that to the bunkers you mentioned?

>Worldwide, the production of tritium from natural sources is 148 petabecquerels per year. The global equilibrium inventory of tritium created by natural sources remains approximately constant at 2,590 petabecquerels. This is due to a fixed production rate and losses proportional to the inventory.

>technology does not exist to rid the water of tritium
What's a fusion reactor

Why is everyone shitting their pants over a small amount of tritium in sea water? It's just heavy hydrogen and the amounts are tiny compared to the volume of the ocean.

>The Tybee Island mid-air collision was an incident on February 5, 1958, in which the United States Air Force lost a 7,600-pound (3,400 kg) Mark 15 nuclear bomb in the waters off Tybee Island near Savannah, Georgia, United States. During a practice exercise, an F-86 fighter plane collided with the B-47 bomber carrying the bomb. To protect the aircrew from a possible detonation in the event of a crash, the bomb was jettisoned. Following several unsuccessful searches, the bomb was presumed lost somewhere in Wassaw Sound off the shores of Tybee Island.

Why not give it to Korea for reparations? :^)

The 1965 Philippine Sea A-4 crash was a Broken Arrow incident in which a United States Navy Douglas A-4E Skyhawk attack aircraft of Attack Squadron 56 (VA-56) carrying a nuclear weapon fell into the sea off Japan from the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga.[4] The aircraft, pilot and weapon were never recovered.[5]

Nice, burgers.
>niggas don't know ocean dumping was standard nuclear waste practice for a long time

sounds like the ((((newest health scare))))

Wouldn't it just be better to nuke Fukushima and deal with the immediate fallout? Would it be better than slowly poisoning the ocean?

You honestly need to be banned and to take your meds

>Wouldn't it just be better to nuke Fukushima and deal with the immediate fallout?

That's not how this works.

>tripfag

With nips and jews (you) lose.

not an argument.

Do you want Godzilla? Because this is how you get Godzilla.

You guys even dropped a nuke in your own backyard
>Somewhere in a North Carolina Swamp

>January 24, 1961.A B-52 carrying two 24-megaton nuclear bombs crashed while taking off from an airbase in Goldsboro, North Carolina. One of the weapons sank in swampy farmland, and its uranium core was never found despite intensive search efforts to a depth of 50 feet. To ensure no one else could recover the weapon, the USAF bought a permanent easement requiring government permission to dig on the land.

I hope you disliked eating fish

so much technology and this yellow niggers cant find a way to separate the tritium from the water in a controlled process

Attached: three eyed fish.jpg (480x360, 15K)

Being heavy elements they'll sink to the bottom and stay there

Tritium's also naturally occuring and what's dumped into the ocean won't even be noticeable

Tritium will be gone in a couple of decades, dumping it in the biggest body of water on the planet is not a bad idea.
Radioactive metals would be another thing.

And they could and it wouldn't have any impact

Tritium is naturally produced, there's already several orders of magnitude more tritium in the ocean than they would be adding, even if they dumped this much every day for a thousand years.

This is why anti nuclear brainlets are such a big problem. You don't have any mathematical understanding of the world around you and operate solely on emotional knee jerk hysteria.

I just released 1 million tonnes of contaminated water that accumulated in my ass.

It actually wouldn't. We could be dumping all of our nuclear waste into the ocean and it wouldn't do anything.

People still don't understand how big the ocean is, nor that a lot of the radioactive isotopes involved exist in the ocean already.

There's actually substantial more and worse waste from other polluting industries that is just outright dumped into the ocean as it is, but you never see any issues taken with that. Oil on a related example, has actually caused massive environmental devastation, but you'd still see people prefer an oil spill destroying their entire marine ecology than dumped nuclear waste that has had zero observable effect on anything.

People are incredibly stupid. It's mind numbing.

let me take a dump on your water supply user,, it will only be 0,03% contaminated hehehehe

Ions don't work that way.
The problem with metals is, that they accumulate in animal or plant tissues and reach us via the food chain.
Tritium - being essentially hydrogen - is in a constant flow - you drink some atoms of it and you sweat and piss them out again.

It was a joke
Just like the moon doesn't have gravity but the astronauts stay in place thanks to their heavy boots.

Dumb people don't understand anything about anything.

Don't tell me anything about nucleophobia.
It's our cherished national neurosis here.

The ocean as a whole wont be affected, but the waters around the reactor will probably have some very fucked up lifeforms being born in them for quite some time.

Attached: 1567961035558.jpg (415x600, 58K)

Oh look, a leaf falling for jewish propaganda. Fuck you leaf, this operation is safe and so is nuclear power

tritium isnt the problem my niggy, there are a whole array of isotopes released into the ocean
>algae accumulate radioactive material
>goes up the food chain
>humans eat contaminated fish
>get cancer
gg wp no re, eat your salmon while you still can

No, the waters around the plant wouldn't and won't.

People like you predicted chernobyl would turn into a radioactive desert devoid of life. Look at it today - it's practically a nature preserve.

Other isotopes can be removed from the water.
Maybe distill it, or use filters.

>Other isotopes can be removed from the water.
but thats not what they are doing, they let it flow into the ocean

Calm down retard, the ocean is so fucking massive that you probably get more radiation from skiing in Colorado than taking a swim by Japan

It doesn't matter if it's tritium or strontium90 or uranium. They could actually pipe water directly from the ocean into the active reactor and back out into the ocean, it wouldn't have any noticeable effect on the environment

People like you just don't fucking get radioactivity or nuclear power in general

This stuff may not be perfectly safe, but the bounds within which it is dangerous is a hell of a lot safer than any other form of power generation that exists. Your hysteria over decomposing nuclei won't change the actual reality of how little it damages things.

Same here. Democracy is so fucking useless, people are just too dumb

>They should throw the swedish potato child in the reactor

Attached: 1567779240505.jpg (419x480, 81K)

Technically the tritium could also be removed, but it'd be energy intensive and expensive.

You can be sure every attempt will be made to force the japanese government to take on that expense so they never ever touch nuclear power again.

Do you understand what toxicity levels are?

Well, piping uncleaned water through an active (neutron flow) reactor is maybe not a good idea.
You get a ton of activated shit that way.

>it wouldn't have any noticeable effect on the environment
EAT YOUR CONTAMINATED FISH GOYIM AND STOP THINK
