First of all, I´d support every effective measure against it. But there are a few things to consider. Lets put it this way.

It is ridiculous to think, that in the age of the internet you will be able to just ban it. Imagine drug-policies but a hundredfold worse in effectiveness. Immediatly get over that naive though. It would be a lost cause. As a first measure though, look at what israel has done. They block adult sites via the ISP per default and you have to ask at your ISP for accessing it, that at least ensures, the average joes kids [!] will not accidently stumble upon it. Although once you use a VPN or TOR you will again be able to access it. So again: Whatever you think of it, banning it will not be as effective as you might think.
