much better.

GNA, yes. It is always the ones talking about migrant gates and showing off for the euros that end up enslaving
>'Where is the world?': Libya responds to outrage over slave auctions
Libyan officials have denounced the migrant slave auctions exposed in a CNN investigation ( cnn.com/2017/11/14/africa/libya-migrant-auctions/index.html ) , but claim more support is required from the global community to tackle the issue.
The United Nations-backed Libyan Government of National Accord, or GNA, said it's keen to address violations against illegal immigrants but called upon regional and global partners to provide assistance.
Libya "is going through difficult times which affected its own citizens as well. It is, therefore, not fair to assume responsibility for the consequences of this immigration, which everyone unanimously agreed that addressing this phenomenon exceeds the national capacities," the GNA statement read.
"We affirm again that the practical solution is to address the real reasons that drive people to leave their home countries, treat them and develop final solutions for them," it continued.
On Tuesday, (GNA) Libya's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated that a committee has been established to investigate the auctions but asked "the international community to intensify in a spirit of responsibility and joint cooperation to assist Libya."
>Smugglers exploit migration crisis
A CNN team traveled to Tripoli last month after obtaining footage of a migrant auction. While there, they witnessed a dozen men being auctioned off for as little as $400 each. CNN was told of slave markets at nine locations across Libya, but many more auctions are believed to take place each month. CNN believes some of the auction sites are in territory controlled by the GNA, but others are not; the GNA does not control the entire country.
There is for sure a connection between UN recognition and Ikhwan (Muslim Brotherhood) movements. So good news out of Sudan, their Ikhwani government is now gone.

Houthis blow up tanks more than they drive them around, the mountain terrain favors that kind of asymmetry. It's like Talib tanks, they exist, but they're rare.
Good news indeed, now the Saudis can't just pay some Sudanese official and immediately get cannon fodder. The revolt in Sudan that lead to semi-civilian rule is baring fruit

You seem well informed.... any info in what's happening in western Africa.... Jihadi activity is in the rise in Burkina Faso, Mali, Nigeria, Chad, Niger. Wtf. This was just yesterday.
Old pic from 2001. Tank in pic related was likely destroyed long ago or left behind as Taliban were removed from power and purely used insurgent tactics for a decade or so.
Afghan Army barely uses tanks so there aren't many to capture nowadays. Most combat in Afghanistan is purely infantry vs infantry with shitty technicals here and there.
there is a common factor in a lot of those; the former region of azawad tried to declare a nation, failed, and was taken over by salafists, then fought the mali and french, dissolving it all over west africa. isis groupings are based off previous militant groups; jihadis in borno state have been there a long time, the purple area even with the official government enforces full sharia, the yellow only in personal life, and the green not at all (christian/animist south)
the areas had hisba (religious police ) just like iraq under isis, so the way has been prepared for the assumption of iraqi rule (isis). boko haram has always been somewhat of a redbearded stepchild, but they do enough to be accepted by the other isis franchises.
well said, and a good explanation of the rarity. though above that in rarity is the ever elusive taliban helicopter, seen in action against the muj during taliban-pakistan combined offensive on muj controlled afghanistan
Hmm ... Very interesting. These places are french colonies... And France makes sure that they bleed their colonies dry especially with the CFA Franc currency. This shitty economic situation helps jihadism flourish in the region. I think the only glimmer of hope is ECOWAS uniting against France, and they have. Next year they will have a unified currency decoupled from France.
Better economy = better armies and harder to convince locals to join... If it escalates we might see the Somalia solution when AU countries teamed up to fight alShabab . ..m.youtube.com/watch?v=0WrMz4AiFTc
Gonna read up on azawad.... Never even heard of that before... Thanks

Two Vice videos on the situation 6 yr ago, when half of Mali fell to them, leading to French + other EU such as Germany sending small groups to reinforce the overwhelmed Mali govt. To even draw borders is difficult, but to understand it as the national identity of the Bedouin Tuareg makes sense, as does the susceptibility of that to salafism (weak separatist governments stand little chance against a traveling salafist vanguard).
Then there is the two different strategies to understand. IS, with its franchise caliphate system replacing local stuff, and Al Qaeda in the Mahgreb, which more represents an amalgamation of combined groups working towards one purpose. So you have Ikhwan allies for Al Qaeda in various places like Mali and Libya, but then you have forgotten groups taking up the IS banner in order to be acquired by a foreign sponsor, Baghdadi and his Baghdadis
Tuareg got their Azwad independence for a few years, but gave it up because it literally has no economy. Its empty space, that only supports life thanks to welfare from richer countries in the area. It can't be independent.
Israel is believed by US intelligence to be responsible for planting surveillance devices near the White House in a bid to spy on US President Donald Trump, Politico reported Thursday.
The Trump administration has reportedly not confronted Israel following the discovery of surveillance devices planted around Washington DC.
In a statement, the office of the Israeli embassy in the US denied the country conducts any espionage operations within the US. Visit Insider's homepage for more stories. US intelligence services think Israel is responsible for planting cellphone surveillance devices near the White House, and in other sensitive locations in Washington DC, to spy on President Donald Trump, Politico reported on Thursday.
The tiny surveillance devices were found in locations across the US capital, and were planted in an attempt to access communications between Trump and allies and aides, three former US officials told the site.
Officials at the Department of Homeland Security reportedly discovered the devices at some point over the last two years and told the Trump administration, with Israel believed to have most likely been responsible.
Politico reports that they were StingRays, a type of device capable of capturing texts, emails, phone calls, and location data from nearby cellphones by tricking the phones into thinking it is communicating with a real cell tower.
It is not clear whether the devices successfully gathered any sensitive information.
Despite the suspicions of intelligence services, the Trump administration has not confronted Israel about the espionage and Israel has not been held to account, Politico reported.
"It was pretty clear that the Israelis were responsible," a former intelligence official told the publication.
In a statement.. the Israeli embassy denied being responsible for the devices
"These allegations are absolute nonsense. Israel doesn't conduct espionage operations in the United States, period," a spokesperson told
Turkish officials say they are currently seeking assurances from the British Govt that any future possible political disputes between the two countries similar to the one encountered with the US on the F-35 does not endanger any partner nations membership in the program. Parties are reportedly discussing contractual terms to address this. Once this issue is resolved Turkey may join the program especially in the sub-systems development phase. Turkey is also seeking express provisions in any partnership contract to the effect that the United Kingdom will not enforce US sanctions on any TEMPEST partner State.

you have stated over and over again that you wanted hk to become their own nation and be self sufficient you've gone as far as to suggest they can do so with urban farms and time travelling desalination plants
to achieve such an outcome the only party left to your support is the demosistos, who are pursuing 'autonomy' from the beijing government under the guise of 'democracy' all other parties still want beijing involved because they're not crazy enough to think hk can survive without mainland support, only the demosistos are actively pursuing the ukraine option

Isn't Jow Forums banned in your shithole sandnigger?
if the nation state of hk run out of food, they can simply tactically lift the ban on shark fin soup, and have literal oceans of supplies, and funds from pro-china fatcats immediately
shark fin isn't banned until 2020, so i'm afraid they don't even have that option

firstly there's only 27 years left, not 50 secondly you don't understand the pan-dem position - they want to keep the status quo of 1997 which means >no changes to method of governance (for better or worse) >no getting involved with beijing projects (unless they're willing to foot the bill entirely) >no changes to existing laws that benefit the oligarchy ruling hk >no projects that harm the wealth of the oligarchy ruling hk (which includes public housing)
like i keep saying, to get what you want you need the demosistos
