It's not a conspiracy and not italian well for make it short 2 years ago germany (like now) want to have a more economic strenght in the germanic speaking and cultural regions, this was an idea springed from some french and german economist to unite europe in a economic zone one administrade from france another from germany cutting europe in 2 to beat the USA and Russia in the economic game. the left one Higlighet in orange is what is integrated in germany influence sphere, the orange light germanic influence i mean with german backgorund yellow countries in german economic influence the other color ignore it while red is what separate turky from europe other things is just stuff, like the half circle is african immigrants, yellow line is tension between irland and UK or france and UK. while the other 2 images are an old Idea(1991) to unify europe againts the new Russian Republic and USA so that we don't depend on them but our economy is unified under one currency and have the idea of protecnionism idea. But never brought back both of these idea are just ideas not a conspiracy of germany trying to recreate the reich(well in a kind of sense a Economic Reich) but never happaned because thought as stupid and could divide Europe in a cultural aspect and create internal turmoil in Italy and turmoil in the excluded german influence. Not really, the number was/is high due to italian immigration before and during the wws. They were not volunteers, infact none were. America had drafted all its manpower and told volunteers to say on the "homefront" (in the US). So think of it like this

These numbers are skewed because we import/export our stuff not only through Hamburg and the Jade-Weser port but also lots of it through Rotterdam, etc.
Our economies are strongly interconnected but that number overestimates that quite a bit.
The map is still justified because we've got a very, very close cooperation in the military for example.

Germany purposedly keeps its inflation rates lower than the rest of the continent so that they benefit from the same effect of a currency devaluation while keeping others from competing thanks to having same currency
This is done by (Phillips curve) keeping salaries and their growth to the bare minimum. They achieved this with:
-unification with DDR (salaries are still much lower in eastern germany)
-Hartz reforms and minijobs: legalization of illegal work. If someone hires you for less than 500ish euros/month (aka: average monthly rent of a 1 room apartment), they dont pay taxes over you working for them
-importing middleasterns to fill in the gaps
that's why people started importing 3 worlders. They work basically for free, increasing productivity of the country while keeping inflation low (-> effect of a devaluation -> increased exports). In contrast this lowers the purchasing power of natives, but they don't give a shit because according to EU rules they are well constructed economies.
Of course the whole model will collapse because if everybody exports, who buys your stuff?
