To be honest, it is quite hard to get a (legal) work permit in Switzerland without having some proper skills. Companies first need to declare to the state there is no Swiss person able to do this particular job (legally). But there are probably some loopholes for this.

Ah I only ever drove through Lausanne and past Montreux, Château de Chillon seemed overpriced and sounded like it would be full of gook tour groups. Geneva was a bit of a shithole (literally, the botanical gardens outside the UN have migrants living in them and there was a designated shitting path in the treeline), but everywhere outside the city was comfy, very beautiful scenery and any Swiss hikers my family and I passed always said hello.

Chateau de Chillon does have a lot of tourists, but it's magnificent. I had my Swiss travel pass, so I went. I walked there from the train station in Montreux

I skipped the Botanical Gardens in Geneva. Now glad I did. Went for a swim in the lake, though. Very rejuvenating.

Did you go to Lucerne (I know it is quite touristy). Usually I have the tendency to visit Churches if I'm travelling somewhere. I did not expect there to be a big Swiss flag above the altar and automated doors. So that was quite an experience.

Actually now I'm remembering it was the lakeside park just next to the botanical gardens, the gardens themselves are good to go but not too special. St. Pierre cathedral made the whole city worth it for me though, it's amazing on its own but the archaeological museum underneath it makes it exceptional.

Maybe next time I'll pop for the Château then, I had already gotten tired of wading through Chang's selfie stick legions by that time.

I work remotely for a Swiss company. I lived in Zurich for a full year and Munich for another four. Very nice places. DESU I don't even know what a Romanian is. To me it seems completely made up. Can't recall where exactly, but definitely in the Jura. Some of my family lives there for work so they handled all the planning for that. It was really neat up there, limestone everywhere, and a nice Buvette, a precondition for any of the hikes we did.

Rained all day that day so I didn't get any good pictures, but it was relieving after that heatwave and meant nobody else was around, which was cool.
