you need to force trickle down economics at least somewhat to fully. which is capitalism --> socialism --> communism (fully supported government runs everything alone at that point then).

My great grandfather who dropped out of school in 7th grade worked 50 years as a carpenter making shit wages at a time when there were no power tools and no worker safety and no unions He bought a piece of land and built his house and it still cost more than he could afford so he worked 12 hour days, 6 days a week for 20 years to be able to have a place of his own. He didn't have food stamps to rely on. He never had an unemployment check to tide him over if work got slow. You take all the luxuaries of todayfor granted.

What about working poor? Work 2 jobs and still just barely scrape by, without health insurance. There is a certain threshold where you make too much for assistance but too little to be comfortable or even have savings. Gaining new skills is exceedingly difficult when you consider how long it takes to earn certs in any field. In my area all the jobs pay the same, right about 13-15 an hour unless you have a university degree. Then you can make 20. It seems as though all employers had a meeting and just agreed never to raise wages.

Actually we've proven trickle down works great, the wealth just trickled down to where the capital went in a rapidly globalizing economy: to China, Vietnam, India (outsourcing) and Mexico (remittances). How many of these indignant people would say that inorganically doubling the US population over the past 50 years and adding 20 million homeless Mexicans and South Americans to our country was a bad thing even though it locked millions of domestic workers out of entire labor markets forcing them into lower paid services and increased real estate prices?

Besides, if the government didn't directly facilitate the arbitrary 500% increase in tuition rates with anti-competitive market practices (Higher Education Act of 1965) most of the younger people in this country would be doing pretty well for themselves. I know a lot of people working jobs they could have gotten fresh out of highschool but instead pursued some meme degree for 2 to 4 years and are paying $3-400 a month for their ignorance.

No it is not, and explains why too many are remaining in garbage jobs. Also many have piss poor financial skills too buying the shiny things they do not need. I have seen that my whole life. I started as a laborer in construction, and busted my hump to learn many of the trades, and even to operate heavy equipment, it meant much personal sacrifice, but I moved up to six figures. Too many just want to get by doing the minimal to get that check, and complain they are not making the big money they think they should get. The true problem is what I described is the majority.
