you should really read anything by arne naess. okologi, samfunn, og livstill is the principle book defining deep ecology. also if you're interested in literature at all tarjei vesaas wrote an excellent book called fuglane. really anything by vesaas is good. theres a few authors who wrote about vesaas and discuss his application to the nordic miljo.
also if you guys are serious about anything you should read nightlands by christian norberg-schulz. it's a great accompaniment to deep ecological thinking. schulz analyzes the impact of the environment on nordic architecture and compares it to the european south (mediterranean)

i would also say there's a number of articles out there that are highly critical of deep ecology (most of them are from the 60s) but their arguments are developed around presuming, incorrectly, that the logical conclusion of deep ecology is human genocide. they're good for reading in order to get a more advanced understanding of counterpoints. I can't remember any authors names atm though. just search on any online catalogue and you should be able to find them

i don't know anything about ecofascism honestly, but to me it appears to lack any academic rigor and is mostly pushed by neo-nazi larpers online as a more palatable approach to nazism that's justified because of "muh trees." Deep ecology is at least grounded in philosophical thought and isn't just based on a bunch of PDF manifestos written by armchair philosopher rejects. That being said there is probably a reason it never took off outside of Scandinavia.

A lot of these people were simply « intellectuals » –Using the fascist definition; all speak, no action–. They feel an aversion to closure and to start. They prefer endless unproductive thinking and discussion over action which will invariable prove them wrong and force them to rethink and try again. Mostly happens on people who were smart kids and never experienced academic hardships during their childhood, they got used to everything working for them on the first try, but once they went to the adult world they realized that either they are not as smart as they thought they were or that being smart is not enough.
