It’s a San Antonio class amphibious transport dock commonly referred to as a “gator freighter” it transports US Marine units via landing craft (LCU’s) the aft end has a giant stern gate that opens, it ballast’s down and floods a portion of the ship called a “well deck” that allows small landing craft ( like the ones used on D-Day) to ferry marines to shore, and wounded back to the ship.

Corsairs are super expensive in private hands, like $3,000,000. While the licensing is really expensive, it turns out that early cold war single-engine jets are actually pretty cheap, like $80,000 range. Might want to check it out.
