Buda became a majority German city after the end of the Ottoman rule. The Hungarian population got destroyed during the Ottoman rule, while the Turkish population got eradicated during and after the siege. After 1968, Buda was de facto a dead city.
After the liberation, Germans (mostly Swabs) were imported and immigrated from the Habsburg Empire. Since most of them came from overpopulated German cities, they immigrated to former Hungarian cities. Also, a significant amount of German miners came to Hungary, these guys immigrated to the Pilis mountains.
Germans didn't create Hungary. Before the Ottoman wars, Hungary was a Renaissance cultural center of Europe. Germans helped to rebuild Hungary, and respect for their effort and hard work for starting a new life in a war-torn country
