In Christianity, if you commit sins and degenerate acts, even if you "backslide", Jesus can always forgive you and regenerate you. "Sanctification" or whatever.
However, in Reincarnation/Ancestory worship "varg shit" the choices you make are eternal and will effect not only your children but will shame your ancestors and your future incarnations. Therefore I believe that the old religions are better at combating degeneracy and encouraging people to live Trad lives.

If you have a well-enough structured society then there should be more institutions and/or societal aspects that prevent and punish degenerate actions.
