I've been vegan for six months now. 185/83 and I'm quite in shape, body weight has gone up 3 kilos in these six months, because working out and muscle growth. Veganism has literally done only good things for my body. I used to eat mainly animal products and I had terrible brain fog all the time, my body felt quite sick. Now, after six months, I'm clear headed all the time and my body seems to run as it meant to. Also, went to the doctor a month ago and took all the blood work and everything was optimal.

You can have be malnourished with meat based diet as well. I don't know what the fuck these people do to cause malnourishment on a vegan diet. It's easier to get proper nutrition as a vegan than as a omnivore. You can literally get everything you need as vegan version, but veganism takes some planning and I guess these brainlet parents just fed the kid fucking carrots and potatoes all day. I take supplement B-vitamins/zinc tho, because those aren't included in any vegan products I consume.

Omnivores simply eat whatever high protien high nutrient food they can get. No need to depend on heavily processed nutrient pills or worrying too much about plannig out your diet.

Eating healthy and living healthy has become so confusing when really it is simple.

You get enough omega-3, by having enough nuts/seeds in your diet. Your body converts them to DHA and EPA. However, I heard there are supplements for this, if your body doesn't properly convert them to DHA and EPA. This is partly why I took blood work. Most bodies are able to convert enough so if there's enough omega-3 in your diet, so no problem there.

I agree that that meat is usually very nutrient dense and it's easier to have a decent diet as a omnivore than as a vegan. But, the thing is that it truly doesn't require that much planning to have an optimal vegan diet. Also, most people don't even eat good meat at all, they just eat shitty parts of the cow, chicken and pig. They aren't that nutrient dense in reality. I bet that you're going to find a lot more flaws in modern western omnivore diets than in average western vegan diets.

What I meant by easier and proper is that cheap meat products are usually bad. Ya there are cheap cuts that have too much fat or is mostly bone, but there's still meat there and it has more of the protien your body needs, and many other nutrients, than does any vegan option, which always is missing an essential amino acid or two, requiring you to add another source. The problem is most people dont utilize those cheap cuts properly. The fat can be seperated and used in other dishes. The bones can be used to create nutrient rich soups. You dont need to eat all the meat either; only a small portion is needed and you can fill the rest with those vegan options if needed. No reason to completely cut out such a protien and nutrient rich source of food. Best diet is one that doesnt require so many options to fulfill your needs; can be satisfied by locally derived sources; and can easily be adapted if one of those sources is no longer viable. Vegans push themselves into these narrow spaces where they depend on shit that comes from far away and requires various processing steps to produce. That isnt good for anything.

Didn't even bother to read it, but if you look at the nutrients your average ground beef/pork/chicken has and compare it to chickpeas/beans/lentils, the latter are more superior in almost every sense, except for protein and B-12. But, the latter surely has more than enough protein for average person if compared to ground beef. When compared to just average meat and average plant protein, both are missing some essential nutrients.

And yeah of course, on omnivorous diet you'rent supposed to eat only meat, only small part of good omnivorous diet is meat. However, it's not a necessity to have that small part of animal products in your diet, so why have them if you have a problem with animal industry? I'm a vegan and it's harder to get the same amount of protein.

I've always taken vitamins, even when I was a meat eater.

I would say my strength decreased as I enjoyed lifting weights, but it's hard to tell how much as I have always trained on/off and regularly my strength goes up and down.

I don't feel any bad effects but I did notice with in the first month of veganism that my stomach felt less bloated and I get digestion issues much less frequently. I used to get chest infections at least once a year, but I haven't had any for the past 3 years.

Either way, I feel ok, but I keep a check on my health incase I do feel the need to go back to meat. But all is good so far.
