Wrong. America is a classic example of the failure of free market. You have censorship of speech, fiat currency, debt, corporatism, etc. Free market has been tried and failed, it's time for something else.

China is screeching about American tariffs, so it works. Also, China has tariffs on American goods, so your point fails. Tariffs work, China knows it, India knows it, America should know it.

No doubt it's hurting them, but it's also hurting the US quite significantly, as does it the European economy somewhat.

They can have opportunity, but not at the cost of of loss of domestic jobs and censorship of speech. Free market has a high cost, not everyone is willing to pay those costs. People want free speech and domestic jobs, they don't want to give those up because corporate elites say so.

Does Singapore and Hong Kong look like failures to you? they were literally just islands full of poor peasants 60 or so years ago.

The tariffs are in place to drive up consumption of chinese goods in China. But do you know what China has been really struggling with lately? Domestic comsumption of domestic goods.
India didn't have any tariffs and regulation on IT in the 90's because their government didn't understand it. It lead to an explosion in growth and quickly became Indias powerhouse sector.

Nope, communism is yet another wing of the same elitist bird. India and China are child labour economies, most of them aren't doing well. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer, thanks to free market. Singapore and Hong Kong are not models for every country, it doesn't work that way. It's like pointing out to one of your kids and say ''see how smart he is'' while your other kids are dumb and can't do anything.
