It is a huge blow to people who finance liberal and democrat politicians. Trudeau was financed by Dutch pharma companies and other patent trolls. Al Gore and all the climate crisis politicians are financed by similar firms. Companies that make money off of controlling patents and suing enemies into oblivion with shamefully parasitic legal methods. Mark Cuban is a pretty good primer on patent trolls and non practicing entities and generally what putrid subhuman filth they all are. The tax scams surrounding climate stuff are all to do with handicapping successful companies and forcing them to pay parasitic ones, nothing to do with actually impacting the environment.
A bunch of oil engineers saw through the bullshit and just came up with new clean and contained equipment and processes to shut these assholes up, and they are in damage control mode because their excuse to slap retarded taxes on people for no reason has been destroyed, scientifically.
The next pipeline that gets built is going to be fucking space age, every foot computer monitored 24/7 with redundant fail safes and everything, made of brand new high tech materials and alloys and so on. The oil companies and mining schools at the universities up here are fucking furious about what is going on and have been in attack mode for the last 5-10 years doing R&D to get past all the stupid fucking hippy garbage being thrown at them.
If things go right for the oil companies and military industrial people like Dick Cheney and Halliburton, then it will actually be a good thing for most folks in North America and probably the UK. No need to pay NPE patent trolls 10x markups on solar panels or energy efficient crap necessary.

I inherently disbelieve what I hear from the news when things happen now. Thanks, Obama. I asked myself who gained from this and if there is any chance this is a false flag. It seemed like we were heading towards peace. Trump is willing to talk with aggressors like this, Bolton fired, etc. But the US's first move as a result was to expedite approvals for US pipelines and we are now flexing as a backbone of energy security as we move tankers into strategic positions around the world, which is a new global power role for the US. Anybody have any other ideas of the implications of this?

To add to the "who gained from this" perspective: Aramco was slated for an IPO. The terms of them going ahead with the IPO were 50% worth of shares with (of course) full shareholder rights (i.e. voting) upon the terms being given to them the saudi prince(s) running aramco realized that they'd be giving away 50% of control over saudi arabias only real source of wealth. They, naturally, decided this was not acceptable and were prepared to cancel the IPO. (((Wallstreets))) response to this was to become angry. Shortly after this there were articles published about a pending change in management at aramco in order to better facilitate the IPO. Shortly after those articles the aramco facilities were attacked.
The way I see it:
>Option 1) The attacks were punishment for attempting to rescind the IPO, causing aramco to lose lots of money and income, while other oil stocks benefit, as well as lowering the possible price they could launch the IPO at.
Option 2) the attack was done by which ever saudi prince(s) were shitcanned by a possible restructuring of aramco.
