How does Japan and Korea have such a low obesity rates, even compared to most 2nd and 3rd world countries? I'm asking because I absolutely hate fat people and I'm extreme jealous. Redpill/give me insights into why this is.

I don't get how they gulp down those bowls of white rice and ramen noodles and not get diabeetus.
Maybe it's genetic, maybe they just don't eat as much junk as we do in burgerland.

In Japan, you can walk anywhere you want without a car. Also, a lot of trains.

Companies in Japan pretty much have no real parking lots except the small parking spaces reserved for upper management who travel by car.

Basically, a lot and lot of walking.

Also, it is safe to walk in Japan at night which is why so many foreign Youtubers so walking videos of Japan at night even if they are female YouTubers.

They still have strong social shaming mechanisms. People there don't even litter because they know it will bring shame to their ancestors, as it should be.

I blame American obesity on commuting to work.

Most Americans after driving home don't feel like exercising anymore and walking to work is a dream for most Americans.

Also, American education creates this sitting habit all day long in the classrooms while not having long enough recess hours.

Once you graduate from school, you sit even more as a working adult except companies only offer lunch break and no morning recess or lunch recess.

Of course my statement can only apply to white collar jobs.

Blue collar jobs get a lot of exercise for people even if they don't really like it.

Imagine having to eat sushi instead of hamburgers every day.

Here's why that's a good thing

It's not the meat that's doing it. Japanese people eat a lot of beef and pork too. It's the processed corn and sugar products that's doing it. Corn is in almost everything in the US unless you're cooking yourself.

Their diets are fish and rice based, 2 things you burn very rapidly. They walk significantly farther than most Americans and some other western countries which use automobiles to travel farther. It's pretty much impossible to walk to work in America for example. They have much more developed public transit. Their diets are not as heavy. They are naturally smaller to adapt to their native environment.

Japan and Korea have low obesity rates because their asian bodies prefer to store fat between the organs instead of under the skin, i.e. they're skinny fat. In reality, they're almost as unhealthy as we are. Japanese type 2 diabetes rate is just as bad as USA's.
