I found a customer on craigslist to spark my last business venture. The lady gave my number to her contractor and every job I did for him his customers would get my number. Two of them were real estate agents and they sent all kinds of homebuyers looking for renovations. It was booming in six months and became oppressively busy by the following summer.
Turns out the original contractor was the kind who screws everyone, but I was already too smart to fall for his tricks and I even used to pick his brain about how he finances stuff so he knew not to screw me. LOL

worked as a builders laborer/semi apprentice for a year and hated every second of it. I'm just not good with my hands or physically practical, possibly because I had a retarded absent father who never taught me shit. I'm working in air traffic control now and love it, I make way more money.

heres my story- graduated with an art history degree (absolute lmfao I know) and then tried the tradie route, had the aforementioned shit experience. Now an ATC and really enjoy it. All of my art history graduates are starcucks workers or security guards now. However the friends I had who studied real stuff like law or STEM all are gainfully employed almost straight out from uni.

Its how I started out, I was worked to the bone at subpar wage and had heath issues arise in just 8 months but I did work outside in a Maine winter, also its easy to stay stuck as a laborer specific trade does matter if you are in an area that doesnt have unions it sucks

I was being payed 7.5USD an hour for fucks sake to walk around on scafoolding and carry steel beams around and operate all kinds of power saws.
