1. Biden's running on nostalgia and the idea that the entire Trump administration is an unpleasant detour and that if he gets elected, he'll "return everything to normal" by way of pretending 2017-2020 never happened and pick up where things were left off on 11-8-2016.

2. There are those in the DNC who regret not letting Joe primary Hillary like he wanted to. So he's getting fast track to run in 2020 as a mea culpa (see McCain's failed run in 2008, which was payback for McCain forgiving Bush II for blood libeling him in 2000).

3. There are those in the DNC who realize they HAVE to run a white man against Trump to have a chance in hell of beating him. And Bernie's too much of a commie and Beto can't do it because he rejected his Irish heritage to pretend to be a spic. That leaves Biden.

Biden's going to flop so hard that he'll make Hillary seem like she did a good job.
