European polytheism thread: Pagan religions entailed honor cultures, political mindsets and worldviews. Just like other religious threads it belongs on this board as Europe and its descendants reverting to the old traditions and belief systems would change the political landscape of the west. Lets discuss.
European polytheism thread: Pagan religions entailed honor cultures, political mindsets and worldviews...
fucking mutts
>the one user from Norway that spergs in every pagan thread shaming his ancestors.
Good lad.
Spew out the jewish chock already, shabbos goyim. You are worshipping jews.
hell yeah
post more aesthetic images please
really liked the OP pic of the last thread
Fine, I'll bite. Which are the deities of ''European polytheism''?
this one? also I don't have as many as id like yet
Bump. Daily reminder: Paganism is not a '''religion'''
depends, they are all very similar because they are indo European. which area specifically are you looking for?
heilung is probably the worst of those types of bands.
Pagan is a broad term for any non government-controlled cultural system.
Many have roots in sailing and navigation and farming.
Some believe in mythology, some understand the word 'worship' just means 'to see' the stars and planets / the gods to navigate and predict harvest.
The 7 days of the week come from pagan astronomy.
If it's labeled "European" than it should have common traits. What are common gods of ''European pagans''?
Also your pic is wrong. Slavic ''div'' meant god from earlier ''diev'' like in Lithuanian ''dievs'' or Latin ''deus''. Slavs, due to contact with Iranic tribes started using "bog'' as god and ''div'' as giant, while Iranians use ''div'' for demon.
From what I remember, the common archetypes are:
>Sky Father
>Earth Mother
>Dawn Goddess
>Messenger God
>Thunderer
>War God
>Huntress
Could be more.
But of all of them, Thunderer and Sky Father are the ones that appears most prominently.
pagan literally refers to non Abrahamic religions and due to when the term was coined it is specifically directed at European and middle eastern polytheistic religions.
Paganism today is D&D larp. More cringe than Kikestianity.
>Thunderer and Sky Father
Aren't these the same?
Sometimes.
Celtic skyfather was the Dagda, Thunderer was Taranis.
Zeus was both, but the grandiose warrior nature of the Thunderer was attributed to Heracles.
Thor was Thunderer, Tyr/Odin were skyfather.
In Slavic, IIRC Perun occupied both roles.
They all stem from this
>en.wikipedia.org
also
>Also your pic is wrong. Slavic ''div'' meant god from earlier ''diev''
is just like most of those other names for these, the pic isn't entirely correct but it is easier to show this than try to explain it elsewhere. It also shows how similar some of these gods were, especially when you look at gods like Zues/Perun/Thor/Taranis They are so similar in myth they could be the same god.
spooky thing is pagan could refer to Persian ''baghan'' or the creator, a cult which came with Slavs, but was also present among Greeks, which later gave popularity to names such as Mitar, Dimitar etc.
depends on the branch, for instance in Germanic paganism the sky father would be Odin where the thunderer was thor. although in all of these the thunder part of the god was never his most important trait.
You're not entirely wrong. Most pagans today approach the Gods as ultimate beings of pure divinity, something to be served.
They should be viewed not as much as omnipotent beings, but powerful ancestors to be honored with our actions.
Odin would rather you go out and slay your enemies than worship him at an altar all day.
>Average Catholic priest
Why do you have this degeneracy saved on your computer?
Because he's a Christcuck
I mean cool coincidence but pagan was a Latin term that meant rural folk. Once Christianity took over rome the rural areas remained polytheistic so the Christian and jewish romans started using pagan as a slur against what they considered backwater savages.
>jewish
>Romans
Lol no
I guess that should have been obvious
to troll with and masturbate to when i have goggles on. It looks like a hot female with them on.
Slavs had an unnamed god(probably Svarog) who was asleep and it is said that he dreams this world into reality and when he wakes up the world will end. Also he manifests himself in a shape of gods such as Triglav (''three headed'',) or Troyan (''trinity like'') among Serbs, made out of Perun, Veles and the third god of trinity is unknown, probably the human spirit itself.
to troll with and masturbate to when i have goggles on. It looks like a hot female with them on.
there were citizens of the roman empire that were jewish, they weren't the elite but they were certainly part of the Christianization of the empire.
Do you even know shit about your ancestors
Fuck off Muhammad
just saying
Prolly can't trace ur ancestry past a couple generations desu
Yes I do, I have them traced pretty far back and I know the fatherline and motherline haplogroups. I have studied the history of my ancestors homeland, I know how Christianity spread in their homeland(which is why I am a pagan) and I know their old gods.
Magic soil doesn't real my dude.
Seems like Most powerful & Highest Gods in Ancient Religion always unnamed and Abstract
nice man never knew that was an accepted theory.
That's where you are wrong.
go back to smoking weed and fapping to traps child.
No, you're thinking of H.P. Lovecraft's god Azathoth
Yes. It's strange about Slavic paganism as it seams to be monotheistic.
Pagan aesthetics=peak aesthetics
>seams to be monotheistic
Actually I think like that.
Even in Greeks the most powerful god is Chaos
In our Native Religion God are Only one and Abstract
Nah, there are medieval tombstones across Bosnia and Serbia with the inscription "This world is a dream of a demon".
Demon/Devil/Evil/Satan Concept was came from Zoroastrianism
"in the beginning there was nothing, but God. God was sleeping and dreaming, and the dream lasted nonstop. But it was destined that God, still wakes up..."
Lol fire worshipping must do weird shit to you
in "paganism" polytheism and monotheism are not juxtaposed, but complementary. esoterically, pagan priests KNEW of The One. But there is a divine hierarchy and thus the common populace worshipped, venerated and revered the Pantheonic deities.
that sounds like gnostic Christianity. not surprising, due to the presence of bogomilis in the area
that quote is from a greek pagan, you know that?
Are there many greek neo-pagans?
I've never heard of any, to be honest.
and Zoroastrians don't worship the fire as a natural phenomenon, you neo-boomer moron. do you worship the wooden cross on your local altar?
idk how many, but they are more genuine than American odinists from wisconsin
are you hindu?
Among Slavs they are more spirit like, manifestation of the primordial God, and among Serbs each family had God-protectors, later they became Saint-protectors. That's why there is confusion why Saint Elias is called thunderer and celebrated the same day as Perun.
In this region old gods were labeled demons due to christian influence.
Chaos isn't a god he's just the progenitor of greater beings. It's another name for the world egg
Also to keep this political let's discuss honor societies since most pagans had them. I believe we should adopt an honour culture or at least a form of stoicism. It may be the key to fixing the west and restoring masculinity to modern men
>spirit vs god argument
that's part semantics and part cucking to abrahamism to say "oh look, we are monotheists too" . It does not matter. They are powerful entities with whom humans have a relationship with and who facilitate the upholding of the Natural Order (Rta) in the material universe. They are neither demons, nor unimportant.
>that sounds like gnostic Christianity. not surprising, due to the presence of bogomilis in the area
wtf, how do you know that? do you have roots from here?
honour culture and a warrior caste. I think modern pagans, proper pagans, not wicca shits should aim to be what the Aryans who went to the east (and eventually mixed with Indians, unfortunately) called Kshatriyas, the warrior class.
I just read a lot
Nah, I'm a Muslim in Identity Card and still follow Pagan ancestor tradition & worship
Yes I do that is why I posted it, I am a pagan myself.
Yeah, there are 6 convents that I know of.
My convent has 600,000 members (Elaion), but here in Thessaloniki we gather 3000 people max every time we go for a ritual. Symposia are very popular though.
The convent that's based in the US has roughly the same number of worshippers, but they don't go on pilgrimages often and they don't perform rites as far as I know.
are they ethnonationalists?
what's Indonesia's pagan tradition like?
but then what did you mean by >there is one, but there are many, so we don't resemble hooknosemen
read less, this region is cursed, stay away
Is there a real way to be a warrior class in the modern world?
Those are large numbers man
Many, but there is no such a thing like indonesian pagan, because every ethnic & tribe had their own native pagan religion
Even Bali Hinduism aren't same with Pajeet Hinduism, bali way more native pagan than indian hindu
It's a complex topic about which I do not know much about. What I know is that the priests in pagan societies were panentheists of some sort, basically they believed the material universe is contained within God, and that the human-God relationship is not one of faith, but of knowledge, thus only some pagan priests were privy to it. the rest of society was either aware and not interested, or unaware. Idk much about the Slavs, but Norse Gothis were rumoured to speak of a deity even higher than Odin. Plato and Aristoteles spoke of the One. there are other examples, but I need to read up more. anyway this One is not at all like the God of the Old Testament, who is just a pagan god of the Jews that the Jews chose to worship and portray as the Creator of the Universe eventually.
youtube.com
it's from a cucktheist, but the historical facts are there
Yes and greater beings are unnamed
>this region is cursed, stay away
What do you mean by cursed?
Of course. Hellenic dodecatheism is a nationalist religion. You cannot reconcile multiracial/universalist ideology with dodecatheism.
The greeks were created by zeus, given the Fire by prometheus, given the Techne by Athena.
Epimethius and Prometheus are the fathers of the hellenes of the iron age. Non-hellenes cannot worship our gods. Hesiod, Pindar, the Orphic hymns, they all substantiate it.
That's not to say all other races are barbarians. The exception was made for the Scythians that the gods consider our distant cousins, the Egyptians, that the gods consider our close cousins, the romans that the gods consider our half brothers (since Aeneas was greek).
aside from going with the cliché training at a gym, do martial arts and train at the shooting range, i'd say get into information technology and stuff. you could be a supersoldier, but if THEY send you an AI controlled drone, you won't do shit. Other than that, idk. it's stuff I am figuring out myself
That is tough user but may grant you certain freedoms.
yeah, cult like, where you kill non whites in secret
do you know of the aryan invasion?
Pic related, the genealogy of Iron age Hellenes.
>Cursed
Because they not keeping their ancestors instead labeled ancestors as demons
The glorious pill kek but I am seriously trying to do these things, I go to the range and workout so I'm getting there. I'm glad you did not say military service though because I dont believe that would grant you the experience you need unless you are spooky.
Based, Im glad you found the faith of your people, btw are you theodist?
Oh and Same with heaven and hell concept, it came from zoroastrianism
Christians somehow cope with that now saying that they had Noah/Moses' Law in their heart and that some did go to heaven, but back when they were converting they were firmly of the opinion that all pagan ancestors of converts went to hell.
Slavs also spoke about the dreaming god. He created the all other lower gods (including thunderer) for protection and guide of "soul creatures".
Also, seen the vids, good redpill.
Don't ruin the thread with your drivel.
Boreas, the god for the north wind, fathered children in the north. They are the Hyperboreans.
Some claimed they were the Dacians, same claimed they were the Nords, some claimed they were the indigenous peoples of Iceland.
Atlas fathered the Pleiades. Artemis took them as her courtiers.
Some posit some Pleades fathered children in the west. These were the Hesperides.
Kindly refrain from larping like the 70s nordicists did. Your esoteric mythohistory is literally greek. Thule included.
Google everything I mentioned.
there is a phenomena of dreams with snake-shadows, but never mind...
Demons are a greek term that the christians usurped under Justinian and Theodosius.
Cronos ruled during the Golden Age. Men did not grow old, would not know hunger, pain, strife. When men would die it was like going to sleep. The dead turned into Δαίμονες(demons) and would wander the earth as incorporeal and complete beings.
Read Hesiod's Theogony if you want to confirm it.
