quantum computing is bullshit. Proponents point to the Threshold Theorem as proof that they are possible, but experimental research has shown that scaling the number of qubits requires exponential amounts of energy. In other words, there is no fucking point to using quantum computers.

That's a big deal. It also has the potential to compute faster by the virtue of the fact light travels faster than circuit signals (although that's by no means the only factor in computing speed).
