Jow Forums you need to wake the fuck up and stop letting these slide threads overtake the natural conversation that used to take place around here. The ability of this board to redpill the masses was indescribable and it was one of the key factors to getting Donald Trump elected in 2016.
I want to have a discussion to figure out what we have to do to bring this board back to its former glory and I'm going to commit to making posts that have actual substance to them instead of just lurking like I've done in the past. I didn't feel like I needed to before, but the state of Jow Forums has become that awful that I feel the need to try and help fix it. My thinking for areas that I could contribute would be to add more long form redpill posts/academic style writing. The screenshots we have of previous redpills are excellent, but old and possibly outdated.
If it would help, I am happy to discuss my time working on Capitol Hill. Part of my employment there was during the election of 2016, and you guys red pilled me in real time and helped me see that Trump would win in a way no one else I worked with ever entertained. I only mention this because a general discussion on how Congress works might be useful for the purpose of figuring out new ways to restore Jow Forums's role in the political environment.
you are right fren, the problem is bots and shills, And honestly why would anyone who is REALLY intellegent come here? Especially to discuss politics, this place is infested with glowies.
Kayden Foster
Two thoughts playing double's advocate: 1) A large part of the appeal of the board is going with the flow and hanging out. Nobody wants it to feel like "work", people come here to shitpost and kill time. In the course of so doing, organic little conversations happened where views are shaped and exchanged - you don't need to necessarily fret about effortposting unless there's some shocking new development, or you have an original idea to share 2) Maybe the lower density of effortposts and "serious threads" is due to "our" worldview having been largely fleshed out already. The collective worldview (egregore is a good word for this) that we've established has been developed and internalized by many people; there's less of a need for the "teacher lecturing students" format of thread because we've articulated and solidified what we think.
It was great once before and it can become great again. Or at least I hope it can. It's worth trying and I want to at least understand how bad the shilling problem is when I try to push back against it.

>one of the key factors to getting Donald Trump elected in 2016. He would have been elected regardless. He was selected long ago to be president this term.
Matthew King
Bumping a good thread. Jow Forums is so terrible now I hardly come anymore; it's 60% trash/slide threads and bots bumping them.
Michael Cook
I hope you are right, Honestly I just come here for the occasional meme and shitpost at this point. I do agree with you though, If this board could focus its autism it would be unstoppable,
The shill problem is really really bad now, it is, as you have said very difficult to have a real discussion, its not impossible though, and it still happens.
Josiah Rodriguez
While I generally agree with that sentiment I'm not talking entirely about changing the culture of the board. That's not worth much effort for myself and it's a bad end goal. I guess what also worries me is that I was able to see the impact pol had outside of its own board because memes and discussion points were reaching me in the congressional office I worked in which is how I found out about you.
Hunter Thompson
The congressmen I saw from both parties after they returned from the election were shellshocked. Nobody saw this coming.
Isaac Green
I think the best thin you can do is post threads with actual substance, Have real debate, talk about something not talked about on here enough (like for example the central banking cartel), In general that is pretty helpful, this board needs interesting threads again.
also dont worry, next election everyone will be more focused, guaranteed.
Noah Jones
Surely there must have been more activity going on this time four years ago, right?
Maybe it's because Trump was that big of a character that he was easier to create memes for. I just don't see why things are so quiet and unfocused.
Hudson Price
They were pretending. You believed it. That’s their job.
Our impact is more than ever, these ideas are basically mainstream among kids, the news talks about us constantly; the fact that they censor and shill us so hard just shows that they're afraid; as le british meme mask man said, "yu can shood me but ideas are bulledbroof :DDD"
Carson King
Yes this board is shit, but it goes up and down. It was worse last year.. There have been consistent /nsg/ threads and redpill threads though.
Jace Mitchell
I mean, It was certainly more focused, but here is a graph of total users since 2014, hasn't really changed that much. >I just don't see why things are so quiet and unfocused. As I said, there is nothing as big to focus on, When the next election happens we will focus again, at least most of us will.
Every slide thread needs to have a group of dedicated autists working to make it a redpill thread of a certain topic. Much like the 'this is now a Spider-Man thread' meme I used to see, but with inforgrpahics and a few key topics.

All of the cumulative acts of censorship on every platform will have an impact on how far our message would naturally spread.

Thank you for sharing. I will read this.

I like the sound of this.

This ad aired years before he announced. What date did he get elected?
You should copy paste and re post. Link here. Will bump. This board needs this

I tried for months and months and even got a small group together. It's a lot harder when you don't have sorosbux and bibis shekels backing you.
Aiden Davis
The board was incredibly popular and content was pumping out every direction. We were in the aftermath of gamergate early 2015. People were pissed and massive efforts were made to “troll” the media. Then trump announced his presidency and it was like a new prophet was born. (Literally, fucking pepe and the meme magic kek god shitposting) the board was incredibly focused, you had your shitposting and shill threads, but conversation was never derailed this badly.
Bots are bad, during the shooting at the garlic festival, a head agent of the fbi did an interview on Fox News, she said they have AI technology on the internet that they’ve developed, that curbs discussion in these “hate groups” online. Basically admitting to everything Jow Forums claims
I fucking wish I remembered the FBI agents name was, she was very attractive, older, blonde, squared jaw and maybe freckles? If any user has a link to the vid it would be greatly appreciated
Kevin Perry
Thanks for this. Will be reading this.
Thomas Cox
Shill, this time last election we were out in full force. Shit has definitely changed drastically here. Any normal poltard sees it clear as day. We had “impeachment hearings” today, not a single general thread on it and that shit was a meme goldmine.

House or Senate?

Retarded question maybe but how do bots work how do they past the capacha

Was that one escalator at Capitol South a pile of shit back in 2016 too? Swear it is never running.

I was actually very fortunate and never had to use it. Had a good apartment situation during that time. I'd imagine it was shitty but worked fine when I used it the other day. You work on the Hill or just know DC well?

Glorious to finally see some Christian Philosopher understand the Truth!
Interned on the big boy side and might be back. Would you agree we’re fucked, based on the disconnect between legislators and constituents? Not taking people who call their representatives into account here; they’re animals.
Caleb Johnson
Not sure, I don’t have any programming experience. Yay talks was a bot made for fun on twitter in 2016. Ray was capable of simulating independent thought. (Not like chatbot) The bot could even create their own images/ drawings. Mind you this was a crude bot intended for teenagers to tweet with for fun. The bot was taken down within 24 hours because pol made her go full Nazi. They re-made her with filters, effectively making it as dumb as chat bot. Tay talks was a true AI. It wouldn’t be hard for the fbi to use that technology here. Captcha is a very minor road block. I’d imagine if they have AI capable of discussion, just like a human, or even playing video games just as a human would, (google AI playing video games) it could get past something like captcha. Google essentially is an arm of our government, I’m sure they wouldnt mind collaborating with our intelligence agencies to develop an AI that can pass captcha. Especially since our “ Nazi hate speech Internet forum” literally helped get trump elected, which they never thought would happen.

>The ability of this board to redpill the masses was indescribable
The problem is, it never should have been the board redpilling the masses. It should have been the individuals that browse here. Jow Forums was better off when it was just autists and NEETs, with only gamers and nerds browsing and posting. Back in the days where people were legitimately scared to post, and lurked for months or even years before deciding it's fine and maybe those crazy motherfuckers won't do anything but call you a nigger or a faggot online, or make you brick your own pc. Maybe call and order takeout if you do something particularly stupid or attention grabbing. Chanology hurt this site pretty bad. Nostalgia, and rumors of Jow Forums being like "old /b/" hurt this board badly. But the election has all but officially killed it. Congratulations. Taking credit openly and constantly for things like President Trump getting into office has got many eyes glued onto this site, and kept them here. Those with financial interests, those wishing to learn what the fuck we did and how they can use that for their own benefit, old and young faggots that want to feel hip and edgy by shitposting and pissing in the ocean of piss. Normies. Collectively, we have fucked up. We bragged. We had our most socially inept screeching in excitement, publicly, garnering attention of the curious. The slide threads are our own fault, you shit the bed, now sleep in it. The only solution to this, outside of some form of migration which would never end well, and would retain the cancer, is to wait things out and pray interest wanes. But that will only happen if we do nothing, and effectively dying isn't a solution either.
Learn from this. Remember it. Apply it in your life, for the next time something good comes along. Teach your children, so maybe one day they'll have something they can appreciate that doesn't turn to shit in just a handful of years. And for the love of God, never, ever forget Rules 1 & 2 again.
Isaiah Lewis
Depends on what you mean by fucked. Voters have the option to make their voices heard every two years to vote for a new representative if they don't like what they had.
Then you have a large percentage of the population that doesn't care or vote.
If you mean the day to day operations of the Hill and how people don't have a clear picture into how things are running, then yes it's not great. But I think that a combination of better technology and demands by constituents for greater transparency will lead to more trust or at least a better understanding than what we have now.
Staffers shouldn't have to write bullshit letters and answer to constituents all day. While that is important to care for your citizens, they should be working on policy for their bosses which is what they were ultimately elected to do.

True someone get an nsg thread going
Nicholas Bennett
It is really easy to formulate a high quality thread: > Step 1 become a tripfag so you can build a good reputation > Step 2 Put effort into everything from the picture to text. Make sure it is at least a paragraph long if descriptive text. > Step 3 make a unique topic to discuss about about uncommon topics (I.E no Constitution Defending, Nazi Germany / Holohoax Threads, no threads about current Political/World Events, and no "conspiracies" without posting links to verifiable evidence and for the Love of all that is holy fucking linking to a website or newspaper article is cancer do not do that shit.) > Do not post thread during a Major World event or Legendary Jow Forums Operation as everyone must be focused on that and your thread will technically be a slide thread even if it is unintentional > Step 5 ignore shills/bots Easy do that and have at least a dozen posters and you shall have learned debate brother!
It's devil's advocate or more properly the Socratic method. Whatever you said sounded like a term for tennis fans.
Logan Gonzalez
You think defeating two political dynasties wasn't going to attract attention? People were going to figure out what happened either way.
Nathaniel Wilson
Now that I think about it, the gap between senators and constituents is probably a bigger deal on your side of things because they stay in office 6 years instead of 2. I can see why people are more irritated by that, but it is an essential characteristic of the Senate.
As George Washington said, the Senate should act as the cooling saucer for the House, which is more reactive of the times.
Ayden Smith
