Idk stalker was probably the last game to capture that spirit of the early 00's. Even though I'm only 21, games like brood war,frozen throne, red alert 2,max Payne 2, unreal tournament usually came 3 to 5 years later. Time to reminisce over times gone I guess

The only good thing about the early 2000s was the fact that things hadn't become as bad as they are today politically speaking. Most things were still shit, compared to the 80s and 90s. This was the era of reality shows, MMOs, numetal and rap. Everyone was constantly whining about Bush, and every American suddenly became fat and started to dress like those faggots on American Chopper.

Nah, it was shit. They switched to 3D way too early, so the game looked like shit. The hero focus also fucked the RTS genre up the ass and turned it into a casual mess, not to mention Blizzard basically becoming the Disney of games with their horrible, politically correct stories about diversity, starring the MLK of orcs.
Yeah, it's from that cancerous era when they still sold games physically, but never bothered to include any extra, so you just got the case or the shitty tiny box.

I don't know man, some of us older Zoomers had a taste of old PC gaming. Granted, it was the ass-end, and often resulted in hunting down titles that were no longer compatible with post 2000 machines, but I still have fond memories of playing the original Fallouts in a snowstorm when I was a kid, or fruitlessly attempting to get the first Halo to run on my parents' shitty Dell, or discovering Starcraft for the first time, or listening to the Mechwarrior soundtracks.
Find a better era to be nostalgic about than yesterday, faggot.
