Look into the mushroom amanita muscaria, it contains muscimol and muscimol has been proven to remove conditioned fears in lab tests on rats. Reportedly what the berserkers ate.

Yeah but fear is instinctual and you can program people with fear inducing depression and anxiety. And most pharmaceuticals don't work. Mushrooms have been proven too. Look it up, as I don't have handy link. They extinguish learned fears.
