Many years ago. I want to say around 2007ish I was basically a neet. I lived with my dad playing videos games all day and night and I had a shitty little job on friday saturday and sunday that pretty much just covered internet connection fast food and occasional games.
I would leave work every sunday night and stop at arbys and get four of their biggest roast beefs four largest curly fries and a shake and celebrate the end of my work "week" by binging and playing oblivion or some free korean FPS or fapping on IRC.
I was fat, lonely, depressed, and a loser.
And for some reason I came upon a sword website and saw a longsword for sale and I looked at that sword and unironically thought to myself "if I had that sword my life would get right on track".
And you know what? If I sucked cocks by choice I wouldn't be half as gay as who I was when I wanted that sword.

On that subject, swords are made for fighting in open fields most potential fights where you might need a weapon in the Western world aren't going to be out in the middle of an open field, you'll be rolling around in the front seat of your car trying to fight off a car jacker, or fighting in between parked vehicles in a parking lot somewhere.
You only need 3 inches of steel to lacerate an aorta...so why pretend like swords are even a thing? Simple 3.5 inch punch dagger, easily hidden in a shoe or at the back of a belt....is way more practical for common situations that modern men might fall into.

I've browsed around for some battle ready swords. They are very expensive. Historical swords are even more expensive. I want to decorate my living rooms fireplace sitting area with a medieval theme and use some decent swords and axes but they are expensive as fuck and some cheap repo/fantasy shit is just garbage.
For the price of a battle ready sword I can get another rifle or pistol or a shit ton of ammo.
