>In the U.S., health insurers can require patients in an individual plan to pay up to $7,900 out of their own pockets before care is covered in full. One in four workers has a deductible of $2,000 or more, according to an annual Kaiser Family Foundation survey.
>Last year, for example, America’s total health care tab, including spending on government programs, private health insurance and patients’ out-of-pocket costs, exceeded $10,000 per person, according to government data. That was more than twice what governments, insurers and patients in the Netherlands, Canada, France and the United Kingdom spent and almost twice Germany’s tab.
>For example, American patients are less likely to die after being hospitalized following a heart attack than are those in most wealthy countries, data show.
>However, Australia and Sweden top the U.S. on this measure of cardiac care. Wait times in Germany or France are shorter than in the U.S.
>And measures of the overall quality of health care place the U.S. near the bottom. Americans are far more likely to die prematurely from diseases that could be treated with timely, high-quality care, such as diabetes, childhood measles and some cancers.
>The death rate from these avoidable conditions is more than 30% higher in America than in the United Kingdom and Germany, and nearly twice as high as in Australia, France and Norway, according to an analysis by the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, a partnership of international health researchers.
>Beyond better health outcomes, residents of most other wealthy countries simply enjoy more peace of mind.

Why healthcare is so expensive for you guys, WHY?? Genuine question, why competition don't drop the fucking prices?
I pay R$ 230,00 (~57,00 USD)/month for my healthcare plan and everything is covered with 0 additional cost from me, and no, it's not monkey jungle hospital, is pic related hospital here in São Paulo
And we have free for all healthcare, it's RELLLY shit in poor places but middle class and above neighborhoods it's pretty decent
Is the answer really just "greed Jews"? Your retarded lobbyist system allowing it? WHY AMERICANS WHY?
Americans love being cucks for corporations and billionaires. It’s in our DNA

America has the best healthcare in the world. Though I can't read the article as the site has a problem with GDPR, it is probably dogshit. The US has the best hospitals and doctors and is at the forefront of medical science. On average, US citizens have higher life expectancy than EU citizens (whole EU region), despite being obese, and their mortality levels are lower.
Economically, while US healthcare may be twice as expensive compared to other countries, you usually pay half the taxes or less.
Blake Bailey
>including spending on government programs, private health insurance and patients’ out-of-pocket costs Or in other words >Including all of the R&D that these fuckers all over the rest of the world are getting FOR FREE from the US And by >FOR FREE I mean.. they only have to buy any specialized equipment that the new methods/procedures require and don't have to spend a penny more. For example, MRI would not be possible if not for the R&D done by State University of New York. Who paid for that R&D that brought about the first NMR scammer (the predecessor to the MRI)? US tax payers. How much did the UK/Germany/Sweden/North Korea/etc pay for that research? $0.

Thats what happens when you treat healthcare as a business instead of basic society infastructure like water or roads. Now the businesses hold your defective system as a hostage and you have to pay more money for less options to choose from. Its a common misconception that countries with Universal Healthcare only have that as option, when in fact the private sector also exists in those systems (they advertise with no queues, plus government hospitals often commission specialized treatments from private hospitals).
Right now I have to put less money aside each month to make sure when I get ill I get treated, than a standard burger does. And even then I still get to choose myself whether I walk into a government hospital or private one.
Let me get this straight: Free healthcare is shit...ich work as md in germany
We have free healthcare (you HAVE to pay insurance) and because everyone gets free healthcare its shit for everybody cause everything it outdated
Doctors dont treat according to international guidelines. Every doctor that feels like it can do the operation he wants ( even if he isnt approved for gastrectomy for example he can do it once he becomes surgeon). Moreover literally everyhting is old and/or broken....from the echocardiograph to the heart-lung machine....even in university hospitals
Fuck free healthcare...its only good for the rats of society that contribute nothing (hobos, alcoholics, jobless migrants)
Logan Moore
I dont struggle with medical bills. I just dont pay them. People honestly believe if you dont pay these (((bills))) theyre going to get murdered by da gubbment or something
Liam Hernandez
Foreigners struggles with healthcare are a foreign concept to Americans who are okay with being bankrupt and alive.
Dominic Diaz
shut up joo when the bills come around we just add the tinder to our fireplaces. they overcharge for everything anyway
Jackson Perry
Its still better than the system in the US, because you got two options to choose from. Burgers only got one.

I wonder where the technical innovations for that equipment came from. I'm sure it wasnt from your Mezito countrymen. Your welcome jose.
>Hurr durr, when a service is provided for free, the people providing the service are paid. Are your doctors paid? True or false. If false: What a fucked up shithole you live in. If true: Where does the money come from?
It's not rocket science.

And Mr. Shekelberg only billed you 2k for an MRI. What a bargain.

It means “free at point of use”. Try to keep up, mutt

>It's free because I'm going to change the definition to fit my agenda. That doesn't work here. Go the fuck back to Guatemala.
Isaac Taylor
The reason healthcare in America is so expensive is because of welfare leeches. You can receive a bill for a bandaid that can run you $50. The band-aid was a penny and the nurse putting on you got about fifteen cents to do it. The remaining $49.84 goes to treat the thirty nogs ahead of you that aren't going to pay a fucking dime themselves.
James Stewart
Imagine lying on an Anonymous Imageboard nothing you said is true > its shit for everybody cause everything it outdated Bullshit.

Exactly just let the country get in debt so eventually we have to clean house and throw out the cucks and betas that feel it necessary to appease these people instead of jail them.
Blake Foster
>change the definition
Um, no sweetie, that’s the vernacular use for it in this context. Try to keep up, mutt
Carson Garcia
Because these stories specifically cherry-pick unusual situations, or people who buy shitty bare-minimum insurance that doesn't cover more complex treatments or emergency costs, or have ridiculous deductibles because they'd rather save $50 a month and believe they are invincible.
I have Kaiser healthcare. It costs me $275 a month and my deductible for EVERYTHING is $20. Medications are $15. My maximum out of pocket is $2000 per year.
James Harris
>RELLLY shit in poor places but middle class and above neighborhoods it's pretty decent you have no idea how good our health care is here. it's the best in the world, but you have to pay for it. i wouldn't trade our health system for another because i've seen first hand how shitty the care is in other countries. make better life decisions and stop being poor.
>America is not for the weak Being a back stabbing suckass never hurts either.
Austin Parker
Look, bitch, I don't give a fuck what mental gymnastics you try to play. The word "free" has this definition: >1: not costing or charging anything merriam-webster.com/dictionary/free
The words used were not "free at the point of my ass" or whatever the fuck you're trying to change it to. The word used was FREE. Grab a fucking dictionary and practice your English or .. go the fuck back to Guatemala, sweetie.
I love my country but our healthcare system is jewry of the highest level and nobody should support it.
Christian Sullivan
Doesn't explain why things like insulin costs several hundred dollars a month in the US. You're being price-gouged by jews infiltrating your healthcare system and you blame the poor for their greediness.
Nathan Ramirez
Our situation is pretty all-around untenable. Not only is our "healthcare" a complete racket, we are diving head-first into another labor crises. Union-busting is de-facto legal in much of the country once again and now that the entirety of the UAW is striking police have returned to their original role as strike-breakers arresting strikers while has GM sends scabs in trucks to run over other strikers on at least 3 separate occasions already. On the bright side, the IWW is making a comeback so we might see a return of the industrial unionist movement. J Edgar Hoover must be rolling in his grave.
It was the same truck and driver in all 3 incidents.
William Lopez
Did you forget to change your flag? Americans also pay less in taxes. In my income bracket, I'd be paying 40-60% of my income as taxes in any European country with "free" healthcare.
In America, I only pay about 28%. The money I save from this more than covers even worst-case scenarios. In fact, in about 3-4 months I save over $6000 by not being taxed like a Europeon.
Also, I'll never die in a waiting room. It takes about 5-10 minutes to be seen in at my hospital, and in an emergency situation the wait times are less than 5 minutes.
In fact, I broke my wrist about 2 years ago on a Saturday. I went into the emergency room and walked out in a temporary cast with pain meds and a follow-up appointment in 2 weeks in about 40 minutes. This cost me $35.

>muh bullshit
Yeah...and on top of that the specialist training is one of the worst in the world. There is no country where you can be literally retarded and get your specialist diploma after 5-7 years except germany.
You have visceral surgeons that cant even treat an appendicitis, oncologists that dont even know the guidelines and stadium classification of very common diseases like lung cancer and on top of that the material is outdated. For the mistakes they make on a daily basis theyd go to jail in most other countries
They even announce on their hospital website when they get a new ct like its a marvel...
Fuck this crap...everyone who has money gets himself treated outside of germany. And every decent doctor starts working outside of germany once he finishes his specialist training.
Aiden Torres
>hurrr muh health care isnt minkey jungle shit >posts pic of ancient jungle monkey shit lol no wonder your medical care is so cheap. You are using out dated crap. Let this sink in: American health care is SO BAD that people from all over the world come here to pay for it.
Hunter Long
Not even true, we already have the money to implement it its just more important for us to spend it on the military and unnecessary subsidiaries
What hospital? My father had intense stomach pain coming from where his appendix would be and he had to go to the ER around 10pm at night and didnt go in until 3am because there was only one doctor who can conduct the CAT scan and there were other people in line
Liam Campbell
HAHAHAHA call 911 he's lightly touching us with his bumper union workers are such pussies these days in the 90's he would have been hit with a brick for crossing the line.

>struck-by-truck fake and gay. no velocity=no story
>10pm at night and didnt go in until 3am That's literally fast af you unironic dumbfuck. In Europe you would have to wait significantly longer especially in countries with high population density.
Matthew Wood
Isn't what happened more than a century ago is unionists after horse shit like the pinkertons resorted to their own dirty tricks? A few bombings, riots, and when a thousand men took up arms in one of the southern states. Still even if someone tries to Ryder truck an offender nothing would probably change. Ample supply of scabs from over the border combined with the competition of what is practically slave labor in Asia. Serious changes to those two things would need to happen before unions can regain their strength
Camden Anderson
