Hadiths have level of accreditation and strength of truthfulness. The Quran is the end all be all. And Hadith confirmed by Bukhari and Sahih Muslim are top tier. Then it goes down from there. But if a Hadith conflicts with the Quran or something is funny it’s usually disregarded. It’s a thing that Islamic scholars research and try to confirm since the passing away of the Prophet.
