This is exactly my story. I fucked my back up and got oxycodone. I was told I wouldn't get addicted. Six months later, I can remember the first day I woke up in withdrawal. It's now been eight years and doctors are cutting my dosage down to nothing. I'm currently taking massive doses of Imodium, since large doses act opiate-like and kill most withdrawal symptoms. Doctors won't touch me to find an alternate pain plan; they see long-term opiate user and run. But it was them that did this...lots of people are fucked. I'm not begging for sympathy, just giving one side.
