I previously argued that all this focus on Climate Change is just a distraction from the actual environmental discussion. Let's have a look at Ukraine's energy industry to highlight this point. Nearly half of the electricity used in Ukraine is generated by nuclear power plants- 45%- and the country is an energy exporter. In comparison, the oil and gas industry is much smaller and most of the natural oil and gas resources are found in the Carpathian region and in the north-east.
