The destruction almost all relied on how far the blast could penetrate the ground floor before it stopped losing the ability to topple supports. It met resistance when it hit the building, and where it stopped being able to tear out supports is roughly that spot at the ground level you see the original building resume.

Via explosion? whats the question here? Most AN derivatives are very good at moving large amounts of materials, that's why they're so commonly used in earth moving operations. The truck was placed slightly off to one side of the building, so the blast was off to one side as well.
