Any decent westerns approved by you guys? Preferably on Netflix, Hulu, or easily accessible bootleg site with decent quality.

Anything with Clint. Especially High Plains Drifter, my personal favorite.
Would No Country For Old Men qualify as a western?
The Wild Bunch
The Shootist
The Searchers
Dollars Trilogy
No
Thanks, will look for em
The only slightly good ones (i could find quickly) on Netflix are The Homesman, Meek's Cutoff, and The Salvation
Quigley down Under is hands down my favorite western desu
Bone Tomahawk
>killing Abos is bad
>killing Australian farmers is good
bonus points for an entire British cavalry troop (with carbines) being scared of encirclement by Abos with throwing spears
The movie is fucking shit tbqh
i liked magnificent 7, the new version.
It's a miniseries not a movie, but Godless is good. Lots of winchester and henry porn, jeff daniels, sam waterston. Just don't pay attention to the muh stronk wimmin meme.
The good the bad and the weird is a pretty decent western if you want to see a different locale that normal. Hope you can stand chinaman speak and subtitles though.
Psudo-western.
Once upon in the West is pretty kino, top tier soundtrack
"You're gonna look mighty stupid with that knife up your ass."
Big fan of The Outlaw Josey Wales.
I am currently working my way through Deadwood at work.
About 4-5 episodes in. Not sure what I think about it. Some of it is good but half the time it’s pretty dull.
True Grit
Django Unchained is pretty good.
Best western ever made right here.
3:10 to Yuma remake at a close 2nd. Russell Crowe's best role imo.
>the new version
eewwww
Tombstone
Nothing beats the dollars trilogy but anything with Clint or John Wayne is a solid bet.
Also the lonesome dove miniseries
Pale Rider is better than Unforgiven, but both won oscars
Anything by John Ford or Sergio Leone
If you're looking for a show and not a movie try Bonanza. There's an assload of it and it was popular for a reason. You might also watch The Rifleman, it's a little more Jow Forums but it's not quite as good overall IMO.
No Gunsmoke?
Boss Nigger
I knew I was forgetting something.
If you like Novels, the Broken Gun by Louis L'Amour is extremely good.
This.
Not necessarily a western, but "The Rifleman."
This, both versions
Appaloosa is pretty good. Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen are great and they actually use the ejector rod on their single action revolvers.
Try to find The Long Riders. It's an oldie but goodie, about the James-Younger gang. Has the
Quaid brothers and the Keach brothers. 1980, Walter Hill directed.
It was super pro 2nd amendment, surprisingly. It may have been accidental on Hollywood’s part, but it basically showed that gun control makes you a slave.
My favorites:
Open Range
The Searchers
Unforgiven
All of the John Wayne cavalry trilogy
Forgot The Searchers
I mean The Shootist.
Too many martinis
Second this. Surprisingly strong miniseries, didn't get a lot of attention. Extremely violent.
>muh stronk wimmin
Yeah but plenty of them get shot too kek
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
Straight to Hell
Yes.
The Outlaw Josey Wales is the best.
Hard bounty
The Hunted is garbage.
I thought it was just kind of ok. Chris Pratt and Denzel were good, and the action was great, but it seemed like it was missing the heart that makes western movies what they are. And the ending was bad.
WHY IS MIDWAY NOT ON THE PACIFIC LIST
For me it's Unforgiven
My recommendations r8 and h8
dollars trilogy
the searchers
Winchester '73
the wild bunch
white sun of the desert
rio bravo
>white sun of the desert
>western
just because it's a dude in a desert and there are guns doesn't mean it's western/cowboy stuff.
it's a damn good movie though, especially if you understand the language
t.liberator
Shut your dirty mouth you cocksucker. Deadwood is a fucking piece of art and I won't have some cocksucking internet cocksucker say differently.
Hostiles staring Christian Bale is pretty solid. Also, Revenant
This is the best
I got through season 2 and lost interest.
It's the ultimate anti-Western, a tragic modern reflection of a bygone era where a heroic ideal could still exist.

Broken Trail
This x10,000.
You will never see any actor having so much sadistic joy in a part as Val Kilmer does playing Doc Holliday. That's worth the price of admission alone. A sampler:

The rest of the movie is pretty good too.
I prefer high planes drifter to pale rider. But all of those flicks are good.
Anything with John Wayne.
This. Josey Wales is possibly the best western of all time.
The be fair, the original wasn't anything special except for the all-star cast. Seven Samurai is vastly superior.
this; Once upon a time in the West is probably my top pick as best Western. The soundtracks composed by Moricone are like cheating, they instantly give any movie that has them an unfair edge
At least post it in the right size you dweeb
Is there Jow Forums tv show list?
Hell or High Water
Modern Western and approved by everybody on k
neo-western
Once Upon a Time in the West
The magnificent seven
The man with no name trilogy
True grit
The wild bunch
Butch Cassidy and Sundance kid
Both 3:10 to Yuma
Both Django films
And check out neo westerns too
Haven't seen it but list is obviously incomplete.
Add The Unforgiven and the Cowboys
this guy gets it
I re watched this recently and found it rather disappointing. It didn't age very well.
Jeremiah Johnson
Any of the Sergio Leone movies.
"When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk."
I want a Cimarron Man With No Name solely because of that final shootout.
El Topo.
