We all know this “hobby” is expensive

And it could get a wholeeee lot more expensive

Mods don’t you dare delete this, we’re simply discussing prices of our “hobby”

Any senator in a purple or red state that votes yes to this is commiting political suicide.
It wont come close to passing.
Wont even make it out of comittee desu

The Fudds will actually fight this

this will be fought in the supreme court and ruled unconstitutional as a tax on one of our rights is beyond absurd
dont worry about it

They stuck it in some federal lands committee with a bunch of reps from anti gun states. If it manages to get shot down there they’ll sneak it into some massive bill no one reads. Just like the fix NICS bill

>exempting the govt
how is this legal? didnt CA lawmakers do this same shit with mag limits and carry laws?

SCOTUS has been refusing to take any gun related cases for years. We cannot rely on the judicial branch.

>government
>doing something illegal
Color me shocked

Technically congress can tax anything they damn well please. It's just political suicide to try.

>The bill exempts any department, agency, or instrumentality of the United States from such tax.
This is the biggest part of the bullshit. If I have to pay $1.20 a round for 9mm, the cops should, too.

We already pay an 11% tax on firearms, ammunition, etc that supports the national parks service. What exactly is this extra tax earmarked to support?

Faggot Trump just has to get that scotus more friendly to 2A, Kennedy is retiring but he's decently pro-2A, gotta wait it out for Ginsburg to retire or die.

This does not belong here...
Nothing in this post is related to weapons.
Take it to .

Studies on how to end gun violence, studies on how to deal with kids besides suspending them ending the school to prison pipeline

>gotta wait it out for Ginsburg to retire or die
How is that zombie kike not dead already?

Ah only need me 'bout ten rounds for all of durr seasin'. Ah'll pay the extry two bucks so's ah can say ah ain't with them folks with machine guns...

Kennedy probably isn't retiring. He already hired his clerks for the coming year. That's not a 100% guarantee he won't retire, but it is unlikely.

Hope this is a meme rn

>the price of ammunition and guns is not related to weapons
Kys, avatarfagging is against the rules

Say it with me, Trump is not pro guns

>Say it with me, Trump is not pro guns
This shouldn't surprise people, but it does. Trump literally was a supporter of no fly no buy.

Ginsburg won't retire until a Democrat's in office. She'll sacrifice as many aborted fetuses as she has to to outlive Trump's term of office.

You're a dumbass.

How is this not a poll tax on an inalienable right?

>Technically congress can tax anything they damn well please

Like voting?

Something something flimsy ass excuse for "it costs money to operate polling stations.

damn, even from a gun control perspective, this proposal makes no sense.

It would make more sense if the guns were taxed higher than ammunition, since recreational shooters spend more on ammunition than mass shooters, who just buy the gun, and whatever amount of ammunition they deem necessary.

Well looks like I'm going to have to learn how to reload.

Well i saw an interview with the guy whoes sponsoring it thats what he said

Good thing Trump isn't selecting his own judges, he's given a pro gop list and selecting from that. You think he knew who Gorsuch was and appointed him, fuck no it was a gop selected from the approved list. So no I'm not pro Trump but as long as it's from this approve list then we *should* be *okay* (unless the rino dicks us again).

Because it would mostly effect the people who support the ideas this nation was founded on and not the low IQ hordes clamoring for more gibs

What bothers me most about this is nobody is saying aloud what this bill is saying:
It should be harder for the poor to get guns and ammo? Because they believe the poor are more likely to commit crime? That's what this is, ya know?

avatars are against the rules shark boy
and you’ve been at this for hours don’t you need a break

Only a few normies in the middle want gun control to stop mass shootings. The hardcore leftists behind the movement are motivated by hate and animus toward gun owners. They want our guns so they can laugh at us as we're humiliated in defeat. Never forget this.

>the gop will save us
“No”

They want to take guns and ammo out of the hands of the poor, first and foremost.

Ah, "studies". Overpriced "studies" that lead to nowhere except one guy or company getting rich
