So I'm thinking of joining the army, but I'm am autist. Like an actual medical diagnosis. Is that going to be a problem?
So I'm thinking of joining the army, but I'm am autist. Like an actual medical diagnosis. Is that going to be a problem?
Cannon fodder is cannon fodder. You’re fine as long as you can follow orders.
Yes, i know a guy who is actually autistic that is in the army
Navy nucular program. You'll fit right in. Trust me.
Find something else to do. You’ll just fail out in basic and end up wasting tax bucks
If you're an actual no shit autist your ass will be hazed to kingdom come with no end in sight. At least in a line unit. You'll probably kys then get out after one enlistment.
>nucular
Go away, Lex.
If your parents have tricare or were ever in the military don't bother.
If you can't deal with loud noises, people screaming at you, little sleep, working with retards, and horrible management don't bother.
If you're able to perform your duties, get along with your peers, and meet the requirements, by all means go ahead.
Just don't tell them at MEPS, and you'll be fine. They can't access your medical records. Let sleeping dogs lie.
Im a moderately autistic combat engineer. Anything is possible.
>combat engineer
>moderately autistic
That might be an understatement, buddy
having a mental disorder is a requirement for being in the army
Yeah, no shit. Isn’t that a pre-req?
Well I'm moderately autistic and I got in the RUSAF
Also the tu-95 is comfy
I know I may sound like a soyboy or what have you here, but I know exactly what that guy's talking about. Those Soylent bottle caps are ridiculously difficult to unscrew and usually I have to wrap the cap with my shirt and really torque it off. They're threaded on so tight that the bottle crushes itself in your other hand when you're trying to get the lid off.
ah yes im sure going deaf is very comfy
ha soyboy
the fact that you've literally bought and drank a case of soylent cuck at $2 a pop for a "meal replacer" with no complete proteins and the nutrient profile of fucking top ramen already tells us you're a soyboy.
I bench nearly 3 pl8.
but you can't open a plastic bottle of grey estrogen slime
You'll live, I've seen plenty of autists, especially in my field
t. CBRN "specialist"
Don't worry about if you're an autist, because you never know, maybe you'll be like Hitler
Also unrelated but I think this video is sped up, that guy with the binoculars is moving unnaturally fast
>CBRN filled with turboaustists
No surprise there.
I have ADD and mild autistic tendencies. Luckily, I am not a sperg. But I'm also a very motivated individual.
Oddly enough, it was very conducive to a successful military career.
I could sit and obsess over nitpicking the finer points of stuff like the technical details of the Abrams and FM's and such. Come promotion board time, I could blow them out of the water with technical details and specs for stuff.
When the field time came, I was a crazy erratic guy that loved field exercises because they were interesting.
Also, the Army is really geared to simplicity for the lowest common denominator. It's easy if they tell you "you sit right here and you shoot anybody with a gun that comes from right over there"
And then you just have one single thing to focus on that easy.
We need to get some dubstep going with this webm
is CBRN fun even if everyone thinks its useless? what kind of crap do you do all day or prepare for
I personally hate it, mostly because of the unit I'm in doesn't really care much about CBRN shit other than masks. But in a normal chem unit you practice decon and recon shit, it's really a mixed bag of experiences
Ayo fuck y'all I don't wanna share no air mattress with fatboi
That's from amphetamine
>but I'm am autist
you'll fit in better than you think
He's watching a horse/dog race. He's excited because he likely has a bet placed, or just likes the sport. It's a little spergy, but not as weapons grade as you think
I know two no-shit aspies in Ranger batt. Both have wives and are doing just fine.
what batt? The only one I knew stabbed himself in the leg so he didn’t have to do mlat
you probably measured in cr8s or soylent huh
Not if you can contain it.
To be a good in the military you have to have some kind of autist tendancy desu lmao
If you are the kind of autist that cant work with other people and only is functional in individual work then dont bother though
DO NOT GO NUKE
>I'm jacked as fuck come at me faggot
>Can't open bottle feminising nutbutter
You do realize that, at this time, many in the German high command, including Hitler, were on heavy amphetamine regiments, right?
How degenerate.
>amphetamine regiments
>regiment
Wow! imagine being in a part of a military that would assign you to an "amphetamine regiment".
I don't know if they're still a thing, but if they are, sign me up!
Essayons mother fucker.
There's 2 types of 12B's. The autistic "everything has to be super precise" kind and the "fuck it, that'll probably work"/ "P stands for plenty, right?" kind. The latter far outnumber the former, but the former keeps the rest of us from blowing ourselves to pieces.
t. 10 years as a 12B
Will the Autism help you learn Persian quicker? Welcome aboard.
the first clip is but there are other clips
and he is still rocking regardless of it being slow or fast
They can. You sign a form allowing them to at MEPS before you are allowed to even take the Asv test. That said they don't check everyone and if you straight up tell them that you have been to a psych or have taken any psychiatric drugs they will and they will boot you.
>They can check your records
>If you tell them they won't let you in
Smashedheadwojack.png
>working with retards, and horrible management
Not OP but also autistic and thinking of enlisting. I can't stand having to obey retards and lazy fucks, so I guess I should forget about it.
Yes. You sign a form allowing them access to your medical records. Most of the time they won't check them unless you give them a reason to. If you tell them you were being treated for depression you will need a waiver and nowadays they aren't really giving any away because we aren't in any major conflicts. If you lie and say you were never treated for anything, they most likely won't check your medical records, but they still might. This is why in /meg/ they say to lie about medical records. More often than not it is better to lie because they won't bother checking them. But if you do lie and they check you're fucked.
so lets say you're an 99 on the asvab "plz be a nuke ;_: " level candidate.
Is it better to tell them about any mental health treatment or injuries due the rest of your bio and ability outweighing the need for waivers or is it the opposite, where a highly rated applicant should lie through his teeth because they purposefully aren't going to check and fuck up a good thing?
It really depends. I got a 106 which qualified me for pretty much any job I wanted. But I have a history of depression. I told the truth and needed a waiver for it. Usually they take around 6 months but mine took 3 weeks, I'm guessing it was because of my Asv score. This was during the surge though so it's different now. Waivers are almost impossible to get because of so many people joining and no war to fight they don't really need to deal with people that require waivers.
This is a gateway to a 6 figure salary after 8 years.
A $20,000 sign on bonus.
And a $65-75,000 reenlistment bonus after 4 years. The first half+ of which is basic and MOS school.
Then you get free room, clothing (uniforms) and 3 all you can eat meals a day.
Complete with free personal trainers, full health care, dental, gym membership, and an opportunity to meet some of the best bros/friends you could ever have.
It's worth it of you can just not be a limp wristed pussy.
I have autism and ADHD.
I made it through an enlistment in the USMC.
Bootcamp might have been more of a hell than literally hell.
But I adjusted.
And I left an NCO.
Did you require waivers for that? Or did you lie?
Aren't all nukes miserable? And whatever skills they teach you there isn't exactly transferable.
recruiter plz
thats kind of my point
>do they look into the medical records of good candidates or let sleeping dogs lie
>if you tell them the truth, will they actually get you the waiver because you aren't a 35 points on the asvab crayon eater trying to become an 11b
the brass ring apparently is working in a nuclear power plant for $200,000 a year after your enlistment is up. You know, if you don't fucking shoot yourself.
Or get gangraped by autistic bronies.
If you make it that far. It takes a special kind of autismo to make it through nuke school then serve on a sub without seeing daylight for weeks at a time.
>autistic bronies
youtube.com
pics?
could a weeb make it in batt if he could meet the other requirements?
asking for a friend
begone navy recruiter
Fuckoff. Nuke is best.
"no"
> nukes are the least respected members of the Navy
Why? Is it the bronie thing?
Go to hell, stop trying to drag people down with you.
Among other things. Highest rate of suicides and mental illness in the armed forces.

The worst part when I was down there was the noise. Constant fucking loud banging and other noisy shit while not able to get any fresh air or peace for weeks
at least if ww3 went hot you'd be one of the last people in the military to die
Join Air Force comm or intel, you'll fit right in.
Well actually you don't get to pick your job, so you'll probably be stuck as an aircraft maintainer. Actually yeah, don't do that.
I'm already there, I just want company that doesn't make me feel like I'm a bucket filled with reddit.
>So I'm thinking of joining the army
Why? Is your life so shit that you've decided to throw your life away and be yelled at by some mexican drill sergeant, live, sleep, and eat among the smelly minorities who can't even multiply two numbers together and in the end die for the jews in some middle eastern desert?
I am also considering joining the military, but I am in my mid to late 20's. Considering I could score well on an asvab test do you think I would stand a chance? I'm thinking the marines, and possibly still enlisting in active duty, but I am not for certain. I have been trying to get in shape as well. I'd definitely want a combat oriented job.
>Marines
>ASVAB Scores being relevant.
Come on.
I have no clue about the Marines, or much of military qualifiers beside what I have read on the military website. Do any of you experienced fellows think I stand a chance considering the information I have laid out? Once again I'd definitely want a combat oriented job, and maybe even consider active duty.
Then your ASVAB shouldn't be a concern. Keep in mind it's made for highschoolers, some too stupid to make it into college at that time.
I am under the impression that the cut off time to join the Marines is 28, and the Army being 34. Do you guys think I'd stand any chance of getting a job that I want considering i'm approaching my late 20's?
Then what do you think would be the main concern? Do you have experience in the armed forces?
Your best bet is to ask on the military enlistment thread. /meg/ in the catalog.
The USMC has higher minimum ASVAB requirements than the Army.
And they're less likely to give waivers for any type of shortcoming.
They ask far more of recruits and put them under much higher stress for longer.
It's not unusual for 20-35% of a company not to make it through.
Most of those people have the sense not to talk about it later.
You leave bootcamp as an E1.
E2 if you're the guide or you suckered 3 other guys to join with you.
They're stingy with meritorious promotion.
You get promoted or you get out.
And they aren't nco/officer top heavy like the other 3 branches.
They're assholes.
Don't join the USMC if you want taken care of, but because you're a masochist or have a misguided patriotic sense that makes you want to suffer for your country.
My mother apparently never went to follow up and they found no record of me being autistic or ADHD.
I did see a specialist from 7th- 11th grade.
My grandmother wouldn't hear of them labeling me.
I hadn't taken medication for 4 years before I joined, stopped taking it in HS because some guys gave me a hard time about it. And the recruiter told me not to talk about it.
It's a great opportunity if you have what it takes.
99% dont.
Channel your autism and become high functioning. Die doing something incredibly autistic but useful.
plenty of mega autismos in the forces
>t. military cartographer

Is this your brain on soy?
user I'm sorry I have to be the one to tell you this but you might be retarded.
A retard doesn't know he's retarded, Please explain why.

I would assume you can substitute this for a meal then, could you not?

Breakfast, Snack 1, Lunch, Dinner, Snack 2.
It's a "healthier" way to eat by never letting your bloodsugar dip though I'm not sure it's supported by actual science it was pushed pretty hard at the turn of the millenium in schools.
>full meal for snack
They're easy to consume and don't hold you over as long as solid food. It's pretty much required if you don't want to start feeling starved.
There's a girl in the background of one of the clips who is walking down the stairs at normal speed.
>Hitler confirmed autistic meth user
>its the healthy way to eat
>they told us in school!
They told me the Gulf of Tonkin actually happened as well.
>turn of the millennium
>OB starts picking up turn of the millennium
this wouldn’t happen if they made it from people.
Like I said I'm not sure if it's actually supported by science.
It's great that you want to join but don't ruin reputation of military.
That article is hilarious
:(
It takes a real autist to understand that cluster fuck of a game.
