Do you really need a clearing bucket, Jow Forums? I usually just rack the slide on my guns to clear them but would discharging that chambered round into a bucket be a better approach?
I don't think you're actually supposed to shoot the gun empty OP.
Just clear it safely with the barrel pointed in the bucket, just in case.
Cameron Bailey
it's a safety net for absolute autists who are self aware of their condition so need to take steps above and beyond to prevent retardation of a finger slipping out of their anus and into the trigger guard of a loaded gun by accident while clearing
Grayson Ward
I don't know man, my clearing log has been good enough.
Mason Russell
The only thing more autistic than having a literal clearing bucket is not understanding that a clearing bucket is simply meant to be an added redundant safety measure for firearms that require a trigger to be pulled for basic administrative actions such as disassembly. There are many similar practices and products in common usage such as mobile safe directions and the concept of always keeping your firearm pointed in the safest available direction.
Following these things on top of your normal safety procedures will only make you less likely to behave in an unsafe manner.
Jack Moore
You're supposed to put your clearing log into a clearing sink
Jason Cook
>FULL BIRD COLONEL gets out of his convoy, half asleep, goes to clearing barrel, racks slide, round flies out, mag still in, BANG, wtf? BANG! BANG! BANG! "sir you need to drop the mag". many such cases.
Seems like a good idea for deckocking hammer-fired handguns without a deckocker.
Charles Hill
If you have a giant range like a .mil range, sure maybe. But out behind your house? No thank you. My clearing barrel is down range. I just do a functions check that general way.
Jose Gonzalez
I used a clearing bucket briefly but the neighbors kept calling the cops on me. Not worth the hassle
Jace Collins
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
THIS FUCKING THREAD AGAIN
It's been like a year guys, we were doing so good.
I work in a gun store that has a clearing station. While none has gone off, we have caught live rounds in it because people are dumb fucks "nah man it clear" . For personal use, I'd only consider a clearing station only if you live like in apt with no safe direction to clear
Ayden Morales
Great thread.
Cooper Turner
Fucking this
Brandon Hall
How much of a tard are you that you cannot safely manipulate your hammer drop, much less without a round in the chamber? I could understand under stress, but when you have all the time in the world? At any rate, half-cock master race.
The BOLIS :DD has them because a fair deal of cops dont actually like guns, more still are retards in general. I guy I know was too lazy to remove the mag ALL THE WAY before racking and pulling the trigger.
Evan Walker
>How much of a tard are you that you cannot safely manipulate your hammer drop Shit happens, that's exactly why decockers exists in the first place.
>much less without a round in the chamber? I meant with a round in the chamber, obviously.
Aaron Sanchez
They have clearing buckets in military camps.
Barrels of sand.
Evan Brown
I hate sand
Charles Bennett
Pocket sand.
Mason Perry
Yankee marshal is a literal faggot retard. I hate seeing him in my recomended and related videos
Jayden Sanchez
Don't worry. When all the gun channels are gone you won't have to worry about him showing up in between your logan paul and buzzfeed videos.
Ayden Roberts
But it's coarse And rough And gets everywhere
Sebastian Allen
Yes, fine, sweaty fingers under stress can slip a hammer. That still gives no reasoning for the bucket. I advocate rather a visual and physical chamber check with the mag fully removed instead of racking the slide 5 times and blindly pulling the trigger into a sand bucket. Like you said, shit happens and a round remaining in the gun even after multiple slide racks is not unheard of.
John Taylor
But now we have clearing logs in clearing sinks user, we now have a way to fight back!
Isaiah Jackson
How hard is it to drop mag, rack several times, then visually inspect the chamber to confirm clear? Holy fuck
Levi Peterson
In my damn beretta, jamming my mags.
Liam Rodriguez
>Yes, fine, sweaty fingers under stress can slip a hammer. That still gives no reasoning for the bucket. Dude. Imagine you want to decock a handgun at your home with a round in the chamber for whatever reason, let's say because it's your CCW and you were doing dry fire practice.
With a bucket, you don't need a decocker for this. Point the gun at the bucket, even if you fuck up and the hammer slips out you iwll just discharge into a pile of sand.
>inb4 why not just have a decocker Maybe because someone prefers to have a manual safety instead. If all those things are true then the bucket does serve a decent purpose.
Dominic Nelson
saged and reported. do not reply to yankee marshal threads, just sage and move on.
Brody Sullivan
>Be innafortjackson >Have clearing buckets outside of dfac >Some trainee shot it >Drill sergeant didn't get mad because that's what it's for >For mad at the trainee for basciallt having a round in the chamber since they last shot
>clearing bucket What fucking level of retardation is this? How fucking hard is to drop the mag and do a chamber check? If I saw anyone using a "clearing bucket" to ensure they've made their weapon condition 4, I'd no shit shoot the fucker in the back of the head.
Nobody needs a fucking clearing bucket. Just clear your gun like a normal person.
Adam Butler
hi baiting user.
In light of the current state of k, your bait has changed grade from the D- you earned last time to a respectable C. Carry on.
Jayden Butler
This. I hate it too because his video thumbnails look similar to the ones used by h3h3 so I always accidentally click on his instead.
Carson Bell
>round in chamber >dry fire practice
Thomas Bennett
Clearing buckets are for fingertrap owners. I learned how to properly unload my pistol on Penis Inspection Day (tomorrow by the way) but I guess Glockfags didn't.
Why wouldn't you have a clearing bucket? >reinforces good safety habits >metal bucket costs a dollar >sand costs nothing >pulls quintuple duty in the following capacities Clearing Bucket Ash Tray Garbage Can Potted Plant (Probably Cactus) Secret Stash Buried Inside Sand Bucket
.............................:/ RUN WHITE BOY AT IT AGAIN

storytime >be at newguns apartment >he had an SKS >bought him a new 10 round mag for his birthday bc the tapco mags werent working >he cant seem to install it >figure out how to disassemble sks trigger group, fit the mag in >get sks back together >he loads in a clip >double check that safety is on >chambers round >BANG >he didnt clean the cosmoline out of the bolt all the way >find casing, light primer strike >search through 3 walls, a couch, and find bullet in floor >we both are freaked out >made him a clearing bucket and sold it to him the next day
Clearing buckets are a must for hasguns apartment living.
