Brand New tanker private
You're going to have to suck off everyone in your crew, and you will never get deployed to do your job, and you'll get called a fat pog by every infantryman, cav scouts will still think they are better than you and you get to wear dumb gay boots.
This.
make sure go CAV tho.
Gold spurs + NCO sword + Stetson in Dress Blues was ez mode for picking up chicks
>Dumb gay boots
Explain
Lots of mud, heavy lifting and bad knees.
shoelaces are dangerous just ask the atf
google "tanker boots"
19k a shit.
They combine the worst parts of tankers and infantry without the good parts of either. Drones, satellites, and SF stole their scouting mission, which should have died in the cold war or earlier.
And this. For the 2 times a year you get to shoot gunnery, you are a slave to the machine.
But mech infantry are worst infantry.
11b or your gay
This
Throw track means those big heavy ass treads need to be taken apart and re connected. Usually somewhere muddy or sandy too. You'll be doing lots of long hours every day since shit breaks all the time, and it's always some heavy ass, crane using, 40 bolts having, connected to every system being, oil gushing, tanker bar bending, parts always on order listing, piece of shit. Don't even think 91B is any better. Just stay away from maintenance in the military. Join the airforce, buy a camaro, and marry the first girl you meet at the PX. You'll still be happier than a maintainer.
Redpill you on 19,000?

Maybe you got out somewhere along the path and pursued a real career in something that fullfilled you, or perhaps being a tanker was that fullfillment and you retire out. If you got out you realized now your marketed skills are limited to highschool graduate level jobs, truck driving, college or maybe possibly landing a sweet ass job that doesn't fall through and you end up flipping burgers or driving a truck for peanuts anyway. You think to yourself in one of either situations, the former that perhaps you should have just never enlisted and went to college early and saved 3 years. The latter being your career was shit, but you made a lot of experiences, and learned a lot of skills to gloat about to others. But you don't do that anymore so its all moot to reminisce about.
The boots are cool
When a 120mm aftcap is ejected out of the back of a fired gun on the recoiling breach its pretty fucking hot and will melt through laces. Also laces catch on shit like spinning turrets and will quarter you.
Which is a stupid point to make because all the aforementioned jobs are shit, they each got their own pros and cons but it still takes a special kind of retard or super motivated person that most people don't align too, in order to get a sensible level of satisfaction out of.
>Long hours in a hot box with sweating, farting assholes
>One wrong move will kill you
>First job is literally move heavy shit from A to B the right way or get maimed or killed
>Fucking tracks will break on you
>cav scouts will still think they are better than you
Because we are, you lazy fuckers have an easy OSUT in comparison.
Compare and contrast pls?
T. Civie
Cav is basically learning everything infantry does, plus mastery of comms, artillery, basically every man-fired and crew served weapon, and how to handle both armor (M3 Bradleys) and HMMWVs in rough terrain while expecting to have no support beyond what you bring with you and what arty is able to send for you.
Of course, the 16 weeks at the Knox Disney Barracks and hearing tankers whinge about only getting 3 pizza parties so far may have colored my opinion.
