Prisms are the only ones that are certain to work.

Not the user you are responding, but it really depends on the glasses. Your prescription might cause the light from the sight to refract in a beneficial or unwanted way.
I'd go look at red dots in person at your local sporting goods store if I were you to figure it out.
Worst case, you buy a Trijicon 1.5 x 24 or a Leupold Mark 4 CQT and then you don't have to worry about astigmatism.

That being said, you are not totally out of the red dot game, there are options. One being wearing polarizing sun glasses, or getting a really small 2 MoA dot and letting your astigmatism turn it into a 4-8 moa dot depending on how bad it is. If you are wary of gunstore advice (and I don't blame you) just get a shitty $30 dollar red dot off amazon and try it out. If it works for you, you will know.

I'm jelly, I've been eyeing CZ O/U's for a while. I haven't really seen anything for the price that is nicer than what they're putting out.

Use width to guesstimate range and adjust the drop accordingly. It does require some adjustment, but at ranges where 5.56 is fragmenting flubing will still get a hit
