Every time I go to the range, it's like going to the gym. People aren't there for you, they're there for their guns and whatever friends they bring along.
Some people get really salty about the dumbest shit, like why should they give a fuck if I'm shooting too fast for their tastes? I'll shoot as fast or as slow as I please because I'm an adult. I've heard stories of people getting berated for just making beginner mistakes where they haven't actually endangered anyone. They have these PVC tube rectangles near the front of the benches that you have to have the barrel of the rifle sticking through. Pic related it's the old ones they had. I also forgot to mention that range is only open three days a week and one of those days is only four hours on top of also only having one left handed bench so most of the time I have to awkwardly sit at a right one and trying to balance your rifle, make sure the barrel is through box while shooting 100yd is actually no fun.
The range also got shut down for a year while they remodeled the berm and other safety nets because they never cleaned their berm and one day a round went stray after hitting the berm and hit some farmers ATV while he was riding on it.
